Recently sold off my Black 2000rx ek9, as it was time to change for something a little bigger and.. smarter i guess...
Anyway, picked up a really clean 2004 (late 53 plate) EP3 as a run-around.

The car is totally standard at the moment.. will wait for a while before making change (for once ) anyway, here are the pictures:

good lad u got a pre facelift, much much smarter!

nice motor bud

Nice car mate, how do you find it compared to the ek9 for power, handling etc!?

Beautiful ep3! Thanks for sharing

Clean EP3 you got there , really low mileage :nice:

Mileage on it is class, Looks like a real clean example, well wear.

Thanks for the comments :nice:
Had the 9 for 4 years, and as much as i loved it, it was time to move on. The ep3 is a great replacement. The mileage, condition of the car was on the mark when looking to purchase, and being a prefacelift as well, i had to have it.
Anyway, The difference.... In terms of driver involvement, handling, suspension, fun.. the ek9 is the best :).. after a few modifications, the ek9 only got better and was such a pleasure to drive. The ep3 is more refined.. not done anything to the suspension but its very capable (despite no lsd). It isnt as nimble as the 9 due to size and weight, however, overall, im very pleased with the ep3 in its standard form.
Engine.... The noise of the b16s are unforgettable... but the k20 will eat it up in nearly all gears... being bigger in capacity, the acceleration doesnt really slow down. The ek9 might just have it to 60 (due to the better start) but there after it wouldnt be a contest.

i still really miss my ek9, as i still believe it is the best car i have driven for driver involvement and fun... but having the new ep3 is also a nice replacement due to refinement etc... in time ill probably start changing a few subtle things... nothing silly, necessary if anything, as i dont want to chuck money into the car where its not needed. (its been too many years since starting and i need to stop ;))

looks mint mate and with that mileage its a great base to start on

still think ur old 9 was better but if the ek9 is anything to go by ur ep3 will look stunning when ur finished

all the best with it

EP3's don't get the credit they are due on this forum. Very capable car

Looks like a very good example :nice:

Hey nice car there. I still have mine with your recommended mods for the EK9 still loving it.

Moray

McJazz: glad you still have the 9 and still enjoying it :nice:
As said, the ek9s are awesome to drive.
Not gonna do much to this one.. just want it to be comfortable.. not planning to squeeze out performance as i dont want to spend alot of money on this car ;)
My old ek9 was very hard all round and a great drive.. but this ep3 is very good as standard will bundles of power across the whole rev range... ek9 + k20 must be awesome..
thanks for the comments

Clean example mate and very low miles great find
