that exact same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago in my teg and i was told it would cost 13K to fix!!! although my car wasnt drivable

mines only a ek4 dude but it got wrote off for a door and a front wing and it wasnt half as bad luckily i got a payout and to keep my car so i just put a new door and wing on

you might be able to get a shell off livvy and reshell your car? i know its abit of a chew on but its cheaper!

There are some right idiots on the road, the other week I was happily plodding along a main road in my polo, must have been doing about 40-50, and someone just ploughed into the back of me, even he couldnt explain how he did it! Hope your's gets fixed ok though.

i think its now 50 50 regarding the write off. by the look of it, its a big dent on skin.

my mate have something similar month ago.
side mirror damaged, front wing damaged, door dent, and wheel .
the insurance company did not write it off, just repair it.

had a very similar crash in my eg6 back in 2005.The bitch didnt see me aparently. They wrote off the car as it was old, got £1,400 kept the car and 2,100 for whiplash and some other minor injuries

let them write it off insurance companies dont see how much these cars are worth then buy it back and fix it yourself or else split it for parts their was a lad on here before got 5k from the insurance for his car and bought it back for 500 quid.....

Its repairable....just make sure the shop does a good job and u will be ok...so if they write it off u could still get it back and replace that rear quarter panel and a new door u wil be good. But it still hurts to see it in that state...when i saw the first pic i was like ok it aint that bad...but the 3rd pic really shows how deep it went. Good luck n i hope things work out in ur favor

Yea a heard Dunsys was quite bad and they fixed his and was mint again so hopefully they fix mind too!! still waiting on my insurance calling me so I think I will chase them up today!

GOOD NEWS!!!!!

Duddingston coachworks have been given the go ahead to repair my car! totally over the moon! Total cost is £2,500 coutesy of the dudes insurance that hit me.

They done a full inspection and geometery test and there is no damage to the chassis and alignment is still perfect!

The good thing about where the damage is is where the only bit rust is coming through on the car and now it will be gone as that is now getting cut out as it was on the rear quarter! I am getting a new rear quarter, B pillar, door, sideskirt, Type R decal and clips, etc and all sprayed, etc!

Wait and see what kind of job they do but I have heard good things about them so fingers crossed! Cheers for all the kind comments when it happened guys!
