Alright lads,
Well I am a big del sol fan, they are my favourite honda and have had 2 before but none quite as mint as the one I just bought. I wasn't really on the lookout for a del sol and was content with my b18 civic but I saw this crx on gumtree and fell in love. Went up to view it the next day, couldn't believe my eyes at how clean it was and fell further in love with it and then decided I had to get it no matter what so I sold the civic and got it :))

Anyways it's a 1996 white SiR which is rare in itself and comes with a few of the jdm extras like dual door map lights, door tweeters, raybrig front fogs, facelift front bumper, the full black interior and working transtop :)) it also has an s21 which when i asked my mechanic he said this car could be like an SiR-S and come with LSD, but I am yet to see if it actually has, I'm not the type that likes to wheel spin but may have to to find out.
It's the cleanest del sol I've ever come across, was only imported 3 years ago and is rust free, floor pan, sills, arches and engine bay are like new :))
Chris the previous owner has kept it in amazing condition and has basically kept the car standard. The only things he has done in the way of modifications are:
- 16" bronze Buddyclub alloys (paint code is fiat marron vulcanico 750F and is great match to the volks)
- Tenzo R 40mm lowering springs

The rest of the car is standard and I intend to keep it that way. I want to try and keep this car original and as if it has just come out of the factory so I am keeping the engine standard and only have small adjustments to make it the way I want it. I have a black SiR with no engine and was thinking going k20 with it so it can be the one to modify and mess round with lol. My plans for the white del sol are:
- Fit the SiR and CRX Del Sol rear decals (already ordered from honda)
- fit the DOHC VTEC side decals
- fit the front SIR lip from an eg
- fit jap front plate
- paint calipers back to black or silver again
- clean up the engine bay
- may fit my Mugen RnR wheels with a thicker profile tyre as not sure if 16s look just a tad to big
- may powdercoat and rebush arms at some stage just so its super mint underneath

That's all for the moment, hope you enjoy the photos :)

You got a great del sol here mate, proper mint wee car! Know chris well and it was always well maintained and always gleaming lol would have loved it myself, Good luck with her your plans sound spot on :)

Cheers mate, it really is as clean as they come. Chris is a great lad, couldn't have bought the car from a nicer guy and he really has kept the car in great condition. Thanks mate hope to get some bits done to it soon :)

Looks great, nice to see one of these cars in that sort of condition

Don't need to spin the wheels up to find out if it has lsd.
Jack the front up so both wheels in the air and spin on wheel by hand. If then other wheel goes in the same direction it's lsd. If it goes opposite then open diff

Won't work as the stock torsen helicals need torque to work. Free wheel spinning doesn't spin the other wheel same. Seen people think they have no lsd from doing this method.

Easiest method is just boot it into a corner or round about and see how it reacts. If inner wheel spins then no LSD. If it grips and pulls you round or both wheels loose grip and spin then has LSD.

Gave the car a wash and scrubbed the inner arches etc. Took a few photos to show how clean this thing is underneath, really is a rare sight on these cars and sure you guys can appreciate it. Would put some new cars to shame haha.

Cheers andy, he wheels came out really well, that fiat bronze they have been sprayed in is a lovely colour. Haha think I have had the roof down everyday since I bought the car :nice:

Thanks ellis, your SiR looked class mate, can't beat them in white! I've ordered the DOHC VTEC decals for the side like yours and the SiR and del sol decals for the rear to keep it original. Would like to get the Mugen bumper for my other del sol, they are the only nice aftermarket bumpers for them

Not a big update but nonetheless, my new oem honda decals arrived :) were not cheap lol but can't beat oem
Haven't fitted the rears yet because there is a small paint chip on rear panel so want to get it painted first so it's perfect for the decals to go on.

They were bit awkward to fit but got there in the end

Also a few shots of it in its home

Amazing how clean this is mate  looks miles better with the decals, ridicously expensive though like you say.

:secret: P.S if you ever want to sell it be sure to give me a shout!

Cheers lads, really want to get the rear decals on now to finish the job. Haha Ellis, yea il definitely give you a shout, can't see myself selling this for a long time tho :)

Well haven't been on here much, thought I'd update this thread a bit.
The Del Sol has been garaged since October to avoid bad weather and roads. Here she is the day I SORNd her and put her away.

Been pretty lazy with it and not done much recently but going to get into gear and take the front bumper off and rear recess so I can get them painted. Then I can put the SiR lip and jap plate on the front and OEM decals on the back.

I did manage to source the original SiR optional snowflake alloys so that it can be as OEM as it once was. I have already shot blasted them and put them in low bake epoxy powder primer and flatted them down ready for paint. Here's some pictures of the process.

Blasted

Light sand ready for powder primer

Fresh out the oven

Sanded ready for wet paint

Hope to paint them and the bumper etc soon.
