id go with 6000k if i was you would suit the car if its white :nice: dont go 8000k just asking for attention from copers :((

i would just get some decent bulbs and forget about wasting money on HID's, unless you like that sort of thing? :)) if you are going for HID's go for a white light imo it looks better.

I wouldnt bother with HIDs at all TBH, I took mine off last month, I bought some xenon bulbs and they do the job fine, HIDs are going to be cracked down in sept and I rather avoid the fine TBH.

i had 10k hid kit on my ek9 and looked the dogs bxxxxxks in my opinion very blue though
i have an 8k on my subaru and looks nice but still very blue as said i would go with 6k mate

gotta be 5000K looks the best i think its as close to white as you will get... ( on that scale anyway )
But as far as i was aware a haolgen bulb's beam is right to left or horrizontal
and a HID beam is up to down as in vertical...

last time i fitted HID's ot my civic the beam was all over the place, i was told this is due to the reflectors being setup for halogen bulbs so when hid's are fitted it comletely messes the beam up.

Anyone else notice the lights were all over the place ??

i dont think hid should be used without projectors. its kind of dangerous when you get car driving towards you blinding you. but some people have the headlight dipped all the way down but doesnt that reduce the range .

i personally think good quality bulbs light up the road alot better then hid's,

i dont think hid should be used without projectors.,

That the word i was look for.. "projectors" these change the beam pattern to correct it.. ... that's what all the mercs, BMW's and all the new car's have..

yepps

havng projectors in an ek would look unnatural

The kelvin rating can be misleading on some cheaper Xenon kits.. I had 8000k ~way to blue , 6000k ~ really white and both sets didnt have a beam deflector so they shone into the night sky lol.

I was lucky i came across a Raybrig kit for sale otherwise I was going back to halogen bulbs.

Im a fan of pure white lights , and this is true 5000k , really nice when warmed up.
