Buddy Club spec 3 and 4

Hi

Im looking at getting a buddy club exhaust just have a few questions.

Can the spec3 and 4 both be put onto the cat as i want to keep that on?

Also has anyone got either of these, especially the spec 4 as i really want that one?!

And finaly can anyone tell me from experience of having either wether you get much power gains?

I know that these are spose to be quite loud but il be getting silencer bung for them so dont worry.

Both are the same in terms of power, remap after for best gains.
Can keep the CAT in as far as I know, shouldn't be too loud with it.

I had a spec3 with a decat, it was freaking insanely loud.
 
both will bolt up to your cat power gains on an ek9 will be minimal due to the standard stuff being pretty perfect.sound good in tec,too boomy at cruising speeds for me.
 
thanks guys, yeh i aint too worried about noise as il be getting the silencer bung for day to day use and take it out when i feel like being loud.

Also Chance of a £1000 fine if your caught without one in the UK I believe, Unnecessary on a daily as he will be putting a bung in why bother with a decat to make it louder again? It will lean up the mixture more which means you need a map even more. All for a slightly louder exhaust and maybe a slight gain. Pro's vs Cons really depends on how people feel just my Opinion OFC.
 
If you dont want loud(putting bung in) and dont want to take the cat out. Just get a mugen twinloop backbox or something, will satisfy your need for slightly louder VTAKZ probably.

Bying an exhaust to run the bung in it all the time is stupid, bungs look gash and won't do your engine much good if you're running it hard

i wont be running the bung all the time especially when running it hard. its just to keep some of the neighbours happy!
 
I do have a friend with an eg6 that has just bought and installed a Spec III and with the bung apart that is doesn't makes noise, it sound like ****, but without it.... damn! Sounds even better than my Spoon N1, and maybe a bit louder, but the sound is just amazing.

Get one if you can.
 
even prospec which is supossed to be one of the quietest of BCs is still insanely loud...
Apexi WS2 sounds really nice. quiet on part throttle, loud on vtec.
 
i got bc3 pro racing spec with silencer and aftermarket hiflo cat....
still making good gains.. but it depends on your set up tho... over all its a good buy.. if you dont mind the loudness...
 
if driven hard with the bung FITTED the engine management light comes on,it cannot be driven hard with the bung in,my mate has one and the engine management light came on all the time until he removed the bung.
 
i had the bung in mine for ages on my straight through spec 3, was so much more bearable
never rag the hell out of it on the road though but it revved the limiter, and once the bung was out, it revved so freely
