Having a buddyclub shortshifter fitted along with some energy replacement bushings fitted this coming week on my EK4. Just wondering on average roughly how long this would take a garage as i don't want to be charged over the odds? Anything to watch out for worth noting :nice:

depends on how thorough they are.

I would request that they lube the ball on the short shifter appropriately with a high temp grease (axle grease is fine)

Provided they have a lift and they don't encounter any seized bolts 1 hour is PLENTY. With a hoist and a bit of hustle, we usually get it done between 30-45mins.

Cheers, pretty much exactly what i thought 1 hour max. Yes they have a lift my car goes on it np's without blocks. I might stay then to see exactly how long it takes ;)

I fitted a shortshifter on my car with new bushings in 40min, with very limited supply of tools :p

And I am in no way a mechanic.

Hope for under an hour then. I don't have ramps that my car would get up or stands to be able to get underneath :( For what it's worth at an hour think id rather have the paper work to go with it :woot:
