Calling Trans gurus

Congratulations - you has plate diff!

I am assuming a bit though, does it make that noise at high speed?

if you're mainly on the street, you can get away with using Honda MTF and a bottle of Ford Friction modifier.

This will reduce the clicking and popping and in some cases kill it completely. Just be aware that now that you have this diff, you will have to change your trans fluid with every engine oil change too. The metal bits that get worn will be put into suspension and will contaminate the trans fluid quickly.

Track use, straight up Redline MT90 is good. Bear in mind this is for TRACK USE. Otherwise use the Redline MTL with ford friction modifier on the street.

We use Torco's RTF and if noise is an issue - their Type-F friction modifier. Half bottle is generally enough - but that is depending on how much lock your LSD has and the condition of your plates.

kk....thanks for the help. Now that I know it's not something breaking on it constantly I won't be as timid with it.
