Cheapest place for new spoon calipers

Rules are the rules to be fair and they are therefor a reason, just for being a smart arse he deserves a wee ban :nice:

I dont rate spoon brakes.
Seen to many racers using the spoon calipers actually go back to standard calipers and good pads, because there was no notible difference in braking power.
However, if you want to stop on a dime, then AP-racing, Alcon or Brembo big block calipers with 2piece discs and a good pad will do the job. Been in a rally civic that had alcon brakes and literally sh1t myself at how good the braking was.
I think the guy paid the guts of 3grand for the complete brake package inc. installation, machining of the hubs and new braided lines inside. Spoon are like expensive seagull shyte compared to a proper brake setup.

Yep overrated and overpriced:nice:

When did Lee get to be a moderator?

The Spoon calipers do fit under standard wheels I think, so I can see why people might choose them if they want to leave their car looking standard but want more performance.

With a good set of pads and disks my brother's rally-car has never needed a bigger set-up than standard.
