after wire brushing back to bare metal i got the hammerite out giving it a few coats allover but around wher the clips sit i used loads... thought its worth checking for anyone, wouldnt fancy the bill for welding in plates each side! :nerv:

be sure to take out all clips and wire brush off any rust before treatment,,
you can get de-ox gel from built hamber thats fantastic for treating rust,

also you want to wax inject your sills from the inside with waxoyl or similar to help keep rust at bay,,

cheers yeah i took them out first.. planning to underseal/waxoil the whole car in the next week or so

exactly the face i pulled!

winters been crazy over here, salty roads eating my car away

waxoyls stuff is pretty crap i found and the probe that they sell for spraying into the box section is rubbish

while your buying from bilt hamber get some of their dynax S50 anti corrosion wax in the spray tins they come with probes with proper valved ends that will spray a nice even coat inside your sills.

hth

i applied mine with a sealey gun, I agree with you though if your gonna buy 1 product from bilt hamber you may aswell get the lot

civicx3 if you could post a link to the ebay/clips I will add it to the parts list May be helpful for peeps that havent yet done there sideskirts:nice:
