Hi, is ne1 selling a civic which is registered as a 1.4 in the logbook but with a dohc engine ? thanks

2. Good luck with your search, your probably better off looking for a 1.2 corsa gsi lump in it registered as a 1.2

Try and find one but its your risk, things like this is why insurance is so high these days. You would be aswell buying a vti and not insuring it at all
 
Probably not it sounds like he's looking for a first car and can't insure a vti haha blooming chavs :angry:
 
you guys sound like a bunch of idiots, so what if i want to have it registered as a 1.4? if you don't like it than just say it once no need for dumb remarks, i know what i am doing i don't need your reminders
 
If you crash into me and it's your fault then your insurance is worth nothing and I have to pay using my insurance which means higher premiums for me and no NCB's and the knock on effect is higher premiums for everyone else too.

If there were less idiots doing what you're trying to do, then perhaps you could insure the car you're trying to find without having to do it illegally.

What you do, hurts all of our wallets, so it is our concern.

well i aint found ne1 who would insure a 19 year old on a vti for a resonble price just over 1000 what dyu expect?
 
Well, I expect you to drive a less powerful car with lower insurance costs like I did until you can afford to insure the car you want legally.

Stop being a whining baby, grow a pair, become an adult and take responsibility for your own actions. You sound like a pathetic, petulent child. You could end up killing some innocent family.

true say, my insurance is not tolerant towards ny sort of mods so lets say i just have a front lip ,etc. if i have an accident and dont get time to remove it wil my insurance be void?
 
Let's put it this way; I wouldn't want to chance it. I would imagine they'd probably over-look a few small things in a bog standard crash but if you were in a big accident and the claim against you was into the high tens of thousands, which it can easily be with medical bills etc. they would proabably go over the car with a fine tooth comb to get out of the claim.

Have you tried Elephant or Admiral? Try filling out there forms with two much more experienced named drivers and a high excess and then fiddle with the modifications and see how much extra it is, you might be surprised by how low it is with just exterior modifications and maybe a few performance parts, but they wouldn't insure an engine swap.

As said it may seem innocent to you, but if you crash into some one and the police/insurance find you have a non factory fitted/non declaired modification to your car you have no insurance there for you may aswell just not bother!

Before you start throwing insults mabe you should use proper insults instead of ones that a 5 year old would use!
