Civic 1.4 with B16 Engine?

I don't think I need to say anything else. My points been backed up by enough people to make you the "STUPID" one!

If you want the car, just cough up the insurance man.

I spent a few years paying £2000+ so I could have the car I wanted when I was young. ****, it stung alright, and I had to work my ass off to get the money together (was working 13 hours 6 days a week at the time), but I did it. I think you'll find most of us here have done similar at one point or another.

If you wanna pull scams like you mentioned in your first post, you've come to the wrong place, and you'll wear out your welcome very soon. Bide your time as we all have to and good things will come. Not only that but you'll appreciate them more when they do. And that can never be a bad thing...

thanks Championship White for the advice, and to the rest of bafoons talkin nonsense save it for someone else

Bro....they're not talking s*it...they're giving you good advice believe it or not for your own good:nice:
Have a shop around as much as you can for insurance, don't do it on the snide. I'm sure you'll find a company to do it properly with.
As said already, the last thing you want is to do it the dodgy way, have an acident and your insurance becomes void.It will just cause even more problems for you that would'nt have happened in the first place, if you simply insured it properly.
Good luck man:cool:

put it this way if someone uninsured ever hits me and i have to pay for it i wouldnt want to be that person and i'm sure i'm not the only one who feels that way.

do it right and save yourself the bother in the longrun....

cant believe this has been brought up.

even consider just a plain n simple pull over or spot check from the police... this happens quite a lot to many of us! if your asked to pop your bonnet and the policeman is on the ball, your buggered.

i dont understand why you would think of risking it, you could end up getting banned if you tally up the points and then your insurance will be even higher in the future

and to put things into perspective, i insured my ek9, with mods, 2 months before my 21st birthday and it was £780!!

i too have paid the silly high insurance for other cars i have wanted when i was young, when i look back, its good that i did, becuase now i can insure almost anything and it will always be under 1k...majority are WELL lower... for example... evo 5, rx7, and ford puma 1.7 all on the one policy for 138 per month :) im 24

do it right matey! i wouldnt expect you to get much praise on this site if you dont.

i hope you do the right thing

thank you very much guys for the advice and it was an eye opener, ive decided to stay 1.4 until next year when am 21 then i will get sumting better. I think i may go for a 1.4 sri corsa , its seems to be the best 1.4 under 2k, i know zr is the fastest but is not the most reliable, and i know honda is the most reliable, economic and fast but i think the corsa is just abit of both the honda and zr and the main yhing is that is more recent (corsa c) what you guys think

I think get a Honda! (as I'm sure most here would say).

Having driven every generation of Corsa (the Nova was known as the Corsa A in europe and I've had a few of those!), I can resolutely tell you they are terrible cars to drive. Sure, it may have the letters SRi after it, but I promise you you'll get a far more satisfying and sharp driving experience with an EJ9. Also better reliability, a far better chassis, better brakes, suspension, design, driving position, etc, etc

If you're only gonna keep it for a year anyway, don't spend 2K on it, a good EJ9 can be had for half that money!! You'll be glad when your quotes start going down and you can afford something better :)

yh ive currently got an EJ9 which i am trying to shift as ive got bored of it lol the onyl reason i want sumting else is for confort and all the electric stuff.

Honda Civic 1.4i Special Edition 1 Prev. Owner Modified Remote Start Beaumont Leys Leicester used cars for sale here my car

1. Make your EJ9 more comfortable
2. Add any electric stuff you want

Switch to a Vauxhall, and you will end up regretting it. I drove from London -> Birmingham -> London yesterday in a Corsa C and it was a truly horrible experience. Everything rattles, it corners like its on stilts (and it was lowered), the doors feel like they're about to fall off and to top it all off, it was gutless.

Would it not just make sense to stick with what you've got until you get another years no claims?
