I am posting this up for a friend who is looking to get into EK9 ownership. As some of you might notice, the photos are in the same unit as my EK4 was detailed, I know this chap pretty well and will more than likely come with him to view any cars, so no worries about him not being genuine.
Any interested parties please enquire via PM to me.
Hi, I'm currently looking for a DC2 or EK9 and figured before putting my car up for sale I might try my luck and see if a PX was possible. Perhaps a DC2 owner looking to save a little money, or for something a little newer/more comfortable without losing all the fun.
Vitals;
Full suspension refresh.
Dec 2004 / 54
Clio 182
149,000 Miles.
1 Previous owner.
The car has FRSH up until 136k - it's original owner had it serviced at the same dealer on time or sooner, without fail. He had kept it shod on the OEM PE2 tyres and claimed to have racked up that mileage mostly going a long way up and down the motorway each day to work.
In the 13k miles I've covered over the last 18 months, I've changed;
Cambelt, Auxbelt and all idlers/tensioners.
Changed the oil and filter twice.
Replaced all disks, pads and wheel bearings (preventative maintenance)
Replaced the gearbox with a 49k mile unit.
Equipment:
Climate Control
Auto Wipers
Auto Headlights
Xenons
Remote locking
Spec, all changed within the last 5k miles:
New OEM Cup dampers.
Eibach Sportline springs.
Fully polybushed.
New trackrods and balljoints.
New top mounts.
New engine mounts.
Camber bolts fitted with professional "fast-road" geometry setup.
Braided brakes lines with Super ATE blue
DS2500 pads
Lightweight OEM 15" alloys fitted
AD08s all round (Fronts have since been replaced with RE002s in the absence of any AD08 stock at the time of an irreparable puncture)
Lightweight cup seats fitted
As you can see, the car has had a fair bit of money spent in all the right places - it's really turned the car into a very capable machine without compromising too much on the comfort. The car gets driven hard, has done a recent Silverstone GP Trackday and has never failed me - although my meticulous maintenance of the car may have something to do with that.
In order to comply with the rules, I will set a price at £2500, however what I'm really looking for is to PX for a DC2 or EK9.
Some pics:
The day after I picked it up (It gives you an idea of just how tidy the previous owner kept it in 136k miles!)
Silverstone:
and how it sits now:
