Didn't the standard gearbox with 4.7FD win?
The close ratio box came 2nd.
The standard gearbox only lost cause of the crappy start he got.

Close ratio box came in 1st?... can tell by his downshifts always red lining

98 spec s80 box has a 4.785 fd
96/97 spec s80 box has 4.4 fd - iirc

Ah man sounds so good revving that high.. nice video, wasn't bothered by the gears lol just the noise :D

The close ratio box comes second.
I believe they're using 96 specs, its why it's 4.4fd in the white teg. First black teg is same box but 4.7fd and finally the last teg has the close ratio box.
 
how can they rev to almost 10? :O the noise is unreal, short gearing ftw, changing fd was the best thing i done to my ek9.
 
The magic is all in the gearing with hondas, exhaust as well.

also dont pay much attention to the rev clocks...they over read

id say they were all limited to around or slightly over 9k

no matter who won they were all different cars and it wasnt a fair comparison
