i was wondering if anyone has the same problem as me. The problem is i bought a set of tein super streets and have lowered the car all round on the standard wheels. But at the front ive lowered it right to th stops yet im still gettin a 40mm gap from between the top of the inner arch and the top of the tire. Does anyone know if you can buy other springs to lower it further or what to do?

my mate haribo has a set of these. his car sits very nice on them. has a we gap dont think its 40mm they took time to settle in tho

Any idea how long it took your mates coilovers to in? i only just got them on last week and have only done like 50-60 miles maybe i just need to wait a while

he didnt wait that long only about a week. put them onto there softest setting that will alow the spring to move more and help then settle in better

All springs have a settling time, some much more than others. The spring will move the same amount whether you set it on the hardest or softest shock rebound setting by the way. The damper just changes the rate of the rebound.

But the only problem you have is setting your coilovers to the very lowest setting. Thats putting style wayy before performance.

All this settling talk is nonsense. It will drop a few millimeters, max. Thats it.

TEINs don't go very low anyway. You will always see the arch gap.

If you wanted to seriously slam your car, D2 coilovers would have done the job.

the softer u put the shock the more weight rests on the spring thats why it is bouncie cause the rebound is not workin fast enuough so the spring takes most of it. so if u stiffen the shock or up the rebound the more efort it takes to compress the spring hence the hard ride cause the spring aint compressing as far

i read on the tein website that if you buy the super streets without the top mount then you can only lower the car 10mm at the front but if you buy the super streets with the top mount then it goes alot lower. dont know if thats any help.

i bought the kit with the upper mounts aswell. I do nt want to slam the car as i know its not practical i just want to handle better. Its just i would like it to sit a bit lower a 40mm gap seems a bit excessive to me

Argh ive just bought super streets, im more into looks rather than performance due to not having enough money half the time, i was wanting mine sittin properly low but looks like im not goin to get that? Says on the tein website than the ride height adjustabilty goes down by 76mm and 80 at the back or something like that to

my mates got a set on his with the upper mounts and they are lowered rite down tot he stops but has a bit of a gap between arch and tyre but with th teins you cant slam your car completely if u wanted to have it sittin on its arse i would have recomended the d2 coilovers .

Cool anybody got the website where to get them from?
Found them on D2 Racing Sports - Homepage
Are there any other sites tho and is there a specific type to get other than making sure it fits an ek9 obviously :p
Just needing to get my civic hooped, not fussed about handlin, im a poser i know haha.
Thanks

Cool, but i dont know what im looking for in the first place, do d2 only have 1 kind? unlike tein with ss, monoflex etc

it will say they are for an ek9 civic, it tells you what car thier for eg:ek9, ek4, ep3 etc.. if you`ve any doubts just contact the seller for all the information on them.
