davis94's Lightning Silver EJ9 Build

Looks like it has been treated to some nice new parts recently, this car was a real good base to start with. Flywheel make much difference, what weight is it for a D series?

Just to add, I'm nearly tempted to paint those bumper grille's painted black again on front bumper myself, get it sorted :nice:

Yeah dude suspension was well overdue no point in ignoring it being one of the most important parts in the car , I will be getting the car back this week it should be should have seen how badly worn the bushings where looks class now with the polybush kit in , really tightened the whole car up , my uncle (my mechanic) tells me it will be unreal cornering and response in steering etc , Tbh dude dont know the whole story with the flywheels weight as i only had it in my house for an hour and it was sent over to the car :S , but when i picked it up compared to my old flywheel massive difference and brilliant design wasnt much heavier than my phone tbh ..... apparently will make the car rev 10x quicker through the gears and then the clutch is uprated as well , yeah when your spoiler gets painted i will likley get the bumper done again as stone chips have tore off aarons minter of a job so will be getting them done black , as well as side strips re done and recess colour coded

looks well lad fair play have the a f/l lightening silver ej9 myself.

yeah i found it a hard car to match wheel colour too so i just went mad with House of Kolor burple and chrome black lip lol thanks for the kind words

Yeh your right, too many people get blinded by new shiny bit's and ignore the rest of the car ending up with a shitbox. Yeh it should be a nice difference especially getting it aligned properly too. I'll give you some settings to use if you ever do. The flywheel should make a nice difference, did on my old SiR. Lol, I know what you mean. This should be your inspiration, an EK from CL a few years ago, best grey one I've seen, your on the right track with the spoiler. :nice:

Omg that looks unreal ! i always contemplated white wheels like slips or something but never thought it would work :S , that looks unreal tbh i love white nine wheels look unreal but the hub swap would be expensive , that has won me over tho to colour code is their a full build for that somwhere ?

Update ...........

So the car was all built back up on saturday and once again ran into another problem when the pads and discs where replaced Uncle and I noticed the caliper piston had pitted (rusted) from not going in and out properly due to previous discs and pads being so badly wore so therefore I realistically needed 2 new front calipers so the car was on hold until tonight where I had to go to autoparts shop today and purchase 2 brand new calipers which where costly enough... So at last with everything sorted properly the steering just needs aligned now as it is disastrous from having all the suspension out the allignment is all over the place.. To steer straight I had my steering wheel upside down lmao , But that's getting sorted tomorrow at local tyre centre so finally that is everything completed will get better pictures once its daylight and I get her washed etc but here is the list of what was replaced and put on maybe boring to some but maintenance wise was well needed

1. Fully Polybushed everywhere
2. New D2 Lower control arms
3. New Bolts/Nuts/Washers All round suspension
4. New Droplinks
5. New CV Joints/Boots
6. New Exedy Clutch
7. New Fidanza Lightened Flywheel
8. New Steering Rack Boots
9. New 2x Brake calipers
10. New front pads and discs and pipes all round
11. Suspension arms & Rear trailing arms sandblasted and repainted

So yeah alot of work took place next plans are for some colour coding and then probably going to rearch the car just to tighten it up 100% and then I want to look into a new exhaust system looking at Skunk 2 Megapower or a buddyclub don't know what just yet fancy a change as the one I have was just to tick the box for then :S , Anyway some pics .... (will get better ones once weather clears up)

Aww naw lad would be using toe arms and camber arms to straighten the allignment up more so i am getting the most out of my suspension dude

So recently i Put the car through MOT which it passed with flying colours and the only advisory was the windscreen sticker so was happy enough at that so the car has now 3 years MOT pass in a row under my ownership , so then got a set of genuine honda light seals as it has been a problem i have wanted to correct since having it so got them sorted and the old seals where definitley ****ed , the passenger side one was in dire shape and letting water in badly! so now problem solved and cleaned well behind where the lights fit etc , so now the car is going into local bodyshop tomorrow to get spoiler fitted and priced for arches :) hopefully isnt to sore on me should be picking up the replacement arches soon , will get pics with spoiler on and sprayed ASAP

MOT Spec below haha
