decent wheel nuts

OEM HONDA

Never had an issue and done a fair few days now with them.

Oem nuts are not designed for after market wheels though because standard nuts have a ball shaped end whereas after market wheels use tapered nuts

Had two of the ultralite internal drive alu nuts split needing to be air-chiseled off :(

Followed the instructions and used plenty of copper slip on the contact surfaces.

Currently got the steel internal drive nuts that Japshop supply with new wheels and they're great though I'm after a set of long nuts as I like how they look.

Tempted by some of those burnt look TPi long nuts but I don;t know what quality they are, if not maybe some long buddy club ones.

Ahhhh see i only use oem 9 alloys or oem ITR alloys

Steel wheel nuts are best, might not look as good or be as lightweight, but they are the best :nice:

same happened to me,end split and couldnt get it off so had to chisel it lol ill not be buying aluminium ones again!

i dont see how you could incorrectly fit a set of wheel nuts. Spin em on then tighten up to correct torque.

Does anyone do any regular track days and regular wheels swaps with any of these Light racing wheel nuts??

Yup i ran aluminium ones for a while

Couldn't cope with the heat off the brakes and loosened off on track, i could feel the vibrations so pitted in straight away

Steel nuts on now

Where can you get steel buddy club ones though?? those ones in the link are ally.

i need new ones, from reading these might go with the steel budyclub ones good price

£70!

I'm using some black buddyclub ones with a internal star key. They are heavy duty plus steel so robust. Got them form japshop
When I had some rays nuts I wasn't confident with them as they were alloy and once tightened up took a bit to get off.

Do you have a link on these as I want a set of them? Did they come with lock nuts?

That's the only issue with the Buddy Clubs is there isn't a locker, I want a set as I like the look of long nuts but without a matching locker (or even a locker of a similar style/length) I'm put off by them :(

True . I do like the extended look but also want a locker.. I rather the forged alluminium ones to the steel ones but the steels ones would be better quality and stronger
