So, do you fancy yourself as a pretty quick driver who would be able to compete with others for all out glory in the Irish Touring Car Championship?........
Well heres your chance to show what youve got!!!!!!!!!

The prize available is a fully funded seasons racing in ITCC worth in the region of €30,000. This includes absolutely everything a person needs to race competitively at the very front of the grid, including car, spares, tyres, racewear, accomodation, repairs etc etc etc.

The competition is open to anyone.


Selection Process

Each Provincial Round will host two Grand Prix style events held over heats, semi finals and finals. From these races a total of at least 4 entrants will proceed to the Mondello Park shoot-out. These places will be awarded as follows:

Mondello Shootout Finalist 1 - The winner of the Grand Prix Final 1
Mondello Shootout Finalist 2 - The winner of the Grand Prix Final 2
Mondello Shootout Finalist 3 - The holder of the fastest (weight adjusted) lap of the day
Mondello Shootout Finalist 4 - Raffle of all entrants on the day (excluding those already in the shoot out)
*Mondello Shootout Finalist 5 - The highest finishing non competition license holding entrant of the day*

* Mondello Shootout Finalist 5 position will only be awarded in the case of a competition license holder winning both Grand Prix Finals. In the event of a tie for this award the entrant with the faster lap will be awarded the position

A competition licence holder is deemed to be any person who has held within the last 5 year (2007 onwards) any form of Motorsport Ireland/FIA issued competition licence

Mondello Shoot Out Process
The shoot-out finalists from the karting events will all be brought to Mondello Park on Sunday February 19th where a string of difficult tests, challenges and courses will be completed. R2R will appoint expert judges to watch the finalists every move and decide on who has what it takes to compete in the 2012 Irish Touring Car Championship. This decision will be based on all aspects of the entrants performance over the day.

Finally, talent and experience are two very separate things ;)

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for someone, and all for just €150 per person!!!!!!!!!

This is the perfect opportunity to do something you absolutely love and get it paid for, for you. Instead of having to bleed your bank dry every month to just do one trackday a month & run the car!!!

Whoever has the ability to take this opportunity please don't waste it!!!

ive seen events like these run in other countries and thought it would be great idea if ireland had something like it some day as most people simply dont have the money to fund a dream career in motorsport, this will be a very tight prize to win, is there a limit to the number of entries!?
 
There will be a minimum of 250 entries needed.
If they dont get that number, all people who have bought tickets will be refunded.

Cant be much fairer than that in all fairness!
The organisers are also thinking of doing a seasons documentary on the succesful driver and team. :nice:
 
are you one of the organisers!? is it the fastest lap or a race based heat (e.g. grand prix) that gets you through to mondello park!? what kind of car will the winner be driving as it doesnt say in your link!? im sure they shouldnt have any bother getting 250 people for this...

No, i am not one of the organisers, i just copied and pasted what one of the organisers posted on a different forum.
Tickets are selling pretty hot at the moment ;)
Did you read all of post #1?....i edited just after i posted it with the complete selection process.
 
i see it now, i can imagine they would be :D are you for doing it!? i think i might have to consider doing this :naughty:
 
I'l be out next year anyway and i have nearly everything i need to compete including a spares package so getting a seat in another car would mean that my own car would gather dust for a whole year.
I dont see the point in my particular position, but there is a fantastic prize on offer here for someone!
 
could be a free year for you tho lol can you keep this thread updated with amount of tickets sold etc if you can or know how many sold mate, id like to keep an eye on this

Will be travelling to 3 non ROI events next season dude ;)
Kirkistown, Enniskillen and Oulton Park!
Far more away rounds planned the season after too!!!!!!!!!!
 
Is this a yearly competition? Is there only one spot per province for non motorsport licence holders?

Really interested in this...
