looking to stick with pioneer as thats what the rest of my setup is . thanks anyway dunx

hi there , there is very little space for bigger magnet speakers, their just shallow enough for the oem speakers.
i have a pair of 6.5inch pioneer kevlar speakers and a matching pair of 6by9s pioneer kelvars. the the 6.5 are to bigg for the doors so you'll have to cut n chop thingd and you might not be able to open the window fully
hope this helps

You can fit 5.25inch speakers in the door with out cutting. Or you can go to a 6inch if you put a ring in to step it out.

Hi guys, I have a full pioneer system which consists of TS-E1702i 2-way front speakers which are 6.5", and TS-A6904i 4-way speakers in the rear 6x9. There may be a small bit of plastic to cut from behind original speakers but not a lot or even any, I can't remember. The windows in mine open all the way so no problem there.
Hope i've been of some help
Marc

I have fitted Alpine Front speakers, just used those plastic ties, once the plastic cover is on there is no play at all ;)

As long as the speakers don't shake or move or make any noise you should be OK..

alpine is the answer they do loads of different sizes. thats your best bet good sound too!

For what you've got planned under the bonnet i'd have my window down listening to the roar :secret:

Bin the speakers lol

I have some 6.5 pioneer premier eddition yellow kevlar speakers in my EK and I have no issues with the windows rolling down all the way. The window will not hit the magnet cause its slanted towards the front. You will have to cut the plastic backing from the door speaker pod though in order to make them fit
