well as it stand im currently 16 driving in a year hopefully and was wanting a good estimation for insurance on a honda civic EK 1.6l i tohught about £1500 - £2000 for 17 year old ??

Depends where you live in glasgow bud lol . If it off the road and in a garage but think you still find it dear .
Best think to do would be to try comfused.com and change you deatails slighty to give you a ruff idea about wot you'd be looking ;)

think you'll be looking over 2k mate, better chance with a 1.4 to start with to be honest and if you aint driven one, the standard 1.4 civics can shift for what they are :nice:

btw like your avatar pic ;)

TBH likely youll be near 2k for a 1.4 when you first pass mate, insurance is a nightmare

2500 plus mate maybe even more !! start with 1.4 then work up like me. You appreciate it better movin up the ladder to more powerful cars and it would also save you quite a bit. But then it is your choice :D

thanks for the advice never knew they done a 1.4l will be on the hunt for them then

insurance will be mad for a ek4
it would cost me 3k to insure my jordanwith me as the main driver
and iv been driving 2 years

My first years insurance on a 1.1 Fiesta I (K reg.) Cost be just over 2k to insure and the main driver.. The car was barely worth £100

you will be looking at over 3-4k mate lol

i get quotes of near 2k for a eg6 and im 19 lol

get a ej9 (1.4) and you can mod them nicely on the exterior, exactly the same as a ek4. check my build below if you want lol

as said your best to go Ej9 for your first car, can be made to handle really well & look the part & they are Not exactly "SLOW" for a 1.4...... youd pay more on insurnace a year than the car would cost you for an Ek4!!
