ek9 1.6 fastest?

So does the Pug 106's & 205's & you cant complain about their handling.
I think the Almera/Pulsar just has a shite chassis,

lol,i corrected myself already mate and the toyota owners club site says its 167 bhp,i was thinking it had the same power as the later model although thats a 1.8.

those levins are very slow in my opinion .any ek9 i come across just fly by. :D

I own a pulsar vzr n1 it is quicker than type r civic with exhaust and filter. As i have tested this.:)

The sr16ve n1 had the highest power output per litre of any factory production car engine when it was released. And the car is actually sold in a fairly serious state of de-tune. The timing maps are terrible and it actually runs significantly less timing than a normal vzr also the revcut at 8000rpm is ridiculous (8750 is where it should be). At last count there were only ~300 made.

In the n1 racing series in japan the vz-r n1's were very competitive against the type r's.

Whys that? The civic had filter and exhaust!? My car "had" stock everything except hks panel filter which would make hardly any difference. And pee shooter exhaust.

Im not really intrested in arguing the difference really as they are very similar cars in performance imo. Im not saying i completley killed the CTR here.

i mean in the video, my previous post wasn't directed at you. :nono:

Yeah that video is intresting. The n1 in that video clearly has a chip as it revs cleanly to 8750rpm. And i think they optimised the timing map. That car to my knowledge is simply a full spec n1 as you could order the car with all that stuff in it including the chip.

I think they should of got a ctr with a chip then it would of been a fair comparison. I still think the n1 would of won as it was significantly quicker than that type r a chip wont make that difference up imo. The second comparion they did with the spoon car was a complete joke. 1.8ltrs modified spoon engine? THATs an unfair comparison.

If thats the way to play the next n1 they raced should of used 2ltr rods and crank from a sr20de.

the VZR-N1 was designed and produced TO compete with Civic Type-R that time, in that case, the EK9, so its not so surprising it actually win over EK9, as thats was their priority when they created it, still, the car is designed based with N1 Homologation.........to win a daily car will you need to use a car with that standards? that shows EK9 are scaring the hell out of nissan mechanics when the done the VZR hahahaha

SR16VE N1 - Used in the VZ-R N1, which was a racing homologation version intended to compete with the Honda Civic Type-R. Producing 200 PS (197 hp/147 kW) from its 1.6 L SR16VE engine, it holds the highest specific output ever for a naturally aspirated production car, at 123.125hp/litre.

look under N15 Series (1995-1999)

and for some of you who doesn't know any cars with N1 homologation, heres some examples :BMW M3 GTR, Ferrari 288 GTO, and the Nissan Skyline GT-R 'N1 models'....so you guys can noe whats N1 homologation car means

the SR16 in the VZR-N1 is an amazing piece of machinery.

One thing I can't understand is that it's peak torque figure is almost in the 1.8L league. Thats something the B16B fails in and struggles even with mods. That engine does pull harder though.
