1998 facelift Civic Type R EK9 + B18C

Possibly for sale or P/X for an early pre facelift DC5 Integra, any colour considered...PM me!

Not sure if I am doing the right thing and the situation may change but everytime I see a sexy DC5 I want once and a more modern car would be nice.

The clocks currently read about 103,000 miles and the B18C engine was fitted when the clocks read 100,630 miles. At this time I was advised by the trader that sold me the engine it had around 80,000 miles on the B18C.

Hope this makes sense!?

Any further questions about anything please PM me or ask here. You will only get honest answers, I'm a straight down the line guy!

When the B18C was installed, the following was also done:

Engine and gearbox oil change – Silkolene 5w/40 and Honda MTF 3 fluid

Honda OEM Cam belt and tensioner
Honda OEM Dizzy cap and rotor arm
Honda OEM Thermostat
Honda OEM Water pump
Honda OEM clutch kit
ACT Street Lite flywheel
Iridium Spark plugs
Honda OEM Power steering belt
Honda OEM air con belt

The only points of interest to mention:

Scuff under the front and rear lip. Can not really see them though, happended when the car was siting too low. I have since raised it.

Alloy lacquer has started to peal on the fronts.

Had an oil leak which was contributing to some oil loss but replaced the dizzy seal 2 weeks ago and all is OK now, no leaks.

Hard to put a price on this, for now I say £7,500

I am based in West Yorkshire.

You can see progression in my members thread here:

Seriously? You havent long had this - seemed you had many more mods and plans for her! But then again I do slightly understand your reason, them DC5's do tickle my fancy aswell, but as for now im sticking by the '9 I just love them way too much!

Anyway if you do go through with the sale good luck,

Josh..

That is a really nice ek9.

Considering the price of ek9's the price on that isnt bad at all. Good luck with the sale gee.

It's a half hearted for sale thread to be honest. I love the car, its great. More so with the B18C.

We'll see what happens. If the car stays it wont be a bad thing!

Cheers mate.

Anyone got a DC5 and up for a swap hit me up!

make sure you have test drove a dc5, i know its hard to do, but coming from the ek9, you'll be disappointed. considering yours is b18'd too, although i do understand your reasons for the sale :)

uk ep3 are very good cars too, just need some minor tweaks :nice:

Drove one yesterday, was not dissapointed.

It had good torque and drove smoothly. Very minimal roll in the corners, but it was lowered 30mm on SPOON springs.

My B18C EK9 was faster but not bothered.

Clutch felt very good, had a low biting point which I liked. What impressed me the most was the steering wheel weight and feel.
