as a massive forza fan i can officially say from the demo its ****! :nono::nono: cars / track look crap, no depth or texture. that demo course is a boring pile of cinematic horse **** and the game drives and looks like forza 2.5! I'm seriously considering canceling my pre-order....:((
 
You need glasses? The detail looks unreal, especially on the landscapes. Can't believe the graphics upgrade from fm3

What settings are you driving it with? I'm running with simulation steering and all aids off and think it's an improvement. More viceral too, the camera not being so locked in the cockpit gives a more realistic feel and the sense of speed is much better IMO.
 
im more than up for some ek9 vs dc2 battles

more importantly how about a leaderboard on here with the top gear test track times?
 
Demo isn't blowing my mind

Hopefully the real thing will be better
 
its only a freeking demo, course they would of held back on a lot of stuff.

i think personally its ****ing awesome!
 
Hate to say it but i noticed another mistake on the 9,theres no numberplate tabs on the rear recess!

No, do YOU? no detail in and around the track (in a race how long do you spend looking at the scenery???), rear view mirror is choppy and the frame rate is all over the place. Plus the menu and car selection resolution is terrible. It looks like GT3 a spec! Plus the subaru struggles to get into 5th WTF! Finally the one edge it had over GT is the car sounds and even that is off! :(( I can only hope the actual release game is better,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.
 
i have not played the demo yet but that sounds terrible...:nerv:
i'll find out soon enough..
 
dont know what you mean the STI struggles for 5th but i deffinatly dont have that problem... i assume you have all assists off? game seems much like FM3 but a bit more lively in terms of controlling the vehicle

yea played it again this evening (all assists off) and it really struggles on the back straight to accelerate, but on closer inspection this is meant to be a hill? but it doesnt look or feel like it! Plus the screen wobble on the ferari at high speed is also bloody annoying. however the rival challange thing seems promising...
 
i deffinatly agree with the rear view mirror, the sti and m5 v10 also sound very similar but im just saying this is only a demo i very much doubt this will be anywhere near the final product
 
I've heard folk saying stuff about the frame rate of the rear view mirror but mine seems fine, maybe something to so with my tv being a 600hz refresh rate? :S

I know what you mean about the Subaru, doesn't seem to be up on power that much tbh

Everything else graphics wise looks spot on on my tv and I'm pretty fussy about graphics as I play pc games too

congratulations you have a plasma tv, do you even know where the 600 hz comes from? 60 frames over 10 progressive steps aka 600hz. purely a marketing plug for plasma tv's as there is no Mhz comparison for lcd and plasma tv's due to their different screen make up. off topic..........
 
i got a top of the range HD tv and mine is jerky in the mirror so deffo nothing to do with tv's
 
I dunno haha, bought it cause it was on sale and was a good price

Either way I spent A while looking at the mirrors and mines seem fine so dunno why it's different

Soon know what the full game will be like
 
Its only a demo guys we need to remember this I dont think we should judge a book by its cover wait till actual game is out
