Bores as you can see are on top condition, as are the tops of the crowns. Only marks you can see on the bores are from when it was honed

Reason for failure? Can you split the bottom end to show people the condition of the crank - will really change the valuation ;)

as stated `seems like the bearings have gone as the bottom end is knocking`

engine is not out of car as of yet so cannot split also i dont have knowledge of how to do this anyone who does have knowledge can always make me an offer and split it as the parts in the block be worth more than what im asking hense low price because i am not mechanical enough to take an engine apart

Depending on how badly the crank is damaged it might be worth less. It's only a few bolts to strip the bottom end. I managed to strip one with no previous experience, they're fairly easy

il look into it then or see if i can get someone to do it however it will not be badly damaged cause as soon as it was knocking it was turned of and towed home, as stated the pistons are oversized block been bored so even if needs different crank the other parts are worth it alone, cheers for the input fella

Is this a Type R bottom end and crank??

Do you have pictures of the crank yet??

whatever is standard that i am aware of mate was not told of this bein uprated just the pistons and bearings

once iv sold a few bits i will be getting civic into my mates unit and engines swapped so will get pics up then, i will try my best to do this asap

Split the bottom end or you'll never sell it mate.

thanks for advise I don't have the knowledge or time to do so hense why doing as a whole I sold my b16b bottom end damaged with no problem just for me to pay for someone to take it apart an then sell may aswel scrap it after and that prob work cheaper. I'd prefer someone to make something of good parts than bin it

We can do a deal on this - can you PM me please so I can reply?

[I don't have enough posts to PM you.]
