just found out the head on ma jordan b16a2 is fuked! i can get ahold of a ek9 head ! will this fit on ok onto my block ? will i need more of the parts from the ek9?
cheers

cracked! will i need other manifolds n ecu n that 2 run the head? r the cams in the ek9 better than the cams in the jordan engine?

The b16a/b16b/b18cR all use the same head casting.

The only difference is the ones on the type R b16b and b18cR have uprated valvetrain, uprated intake valves, a slight polish job on the ports with an extra angle cut on the valve seat and the type R cams of course.

The whole package is a much better head that will bolt on with all of your original stuff and wont need anything to run it. Your ECU will be fine.

The B16B type R head+cams will give you slight gains but will give you even more if you get a remapable ECU like crome or hondata then get it maped. But if you dont have the cash it will run fine, even a bit better. :nice:

thats alot of help m8 thanks! will it give me a bit more power if i get the inlet manifold aswell? or is that just the same as the b16a2?

The EK9/ITR intake manifold will require you to remap the ECU.

Most have seen losses otherwise.

I suggest you take this time to replace the valveseals and the lost motion assemblies before you install it on your motor.

New headstuds from ARP is also something I suggest alongside a billet cam seal.
