EK9 in the Netherlands - change up

I was not too fond of going K but recently decided to do it anyway, merely out of curiosity.

Once its done you can have a ride and decide if you like it, I study in Amsterdam so Im there every day.

That would be nice man. Thanks for the offer. I'll keep ya to it :P

so at least something is known. The car has been standing around for a mere 3 months now, feels like forever. sucks. But i have made a deal with a mate to buy his b18c-R and expecting to have the car done around march / April. He's in the process of taking it out of his current car and then will do some quick work to the head. Will keep you posted with pictures in the near future.

well i wouldn't say gay but to each their own preferences. mine is a B so that's why i chose this deal over a K or anything else.

The B18 will be a nice update. especially with the S80 4.74 FD. also it pushes me to do a little more to my integra as well. Once you go B18, i have to do something else to stay in front of you ;)

you had issues with that now anyway :P better turbo the ITR bud ;)

lol! and by god all that changed!

So, yesterday me and a mate went to another mate where my 9 currently is sitting and went to take off the head and see what the damage is. The small hope that i could still use the head for a future build was quickly diminished when my mate used the sentence "there's metal in your intake.." haha, so after removing the head we found this...

guess you could say this decreases my chances of using anything from this engine :p. As it has become a build sooner then i expected it to be i decided to at least do what i wanted to do before getting it back on the street. Obviously i need to find (and build) a new engine. Still in the process of deciding for b18c or B20v at least i know that i will go all out on the car. Getting the seat i want, the steering wheel i want, emptying it as it sits for a while.

Next thing to do is get the engine fully out of the car and lay everything aside for future use (header and other bits i can still use).

I will keep you updated on the how and the what.

What's the spec of the new engine then?

'98 18C R spec ;)
Removed the engine from the old car this weekend. Could go pretty fast from now :):)
that is correct. expecting a few weeks.

the original idea was to build the engine before it went into the car but this planning changed due to the gf and myself being in search of a house. So cannot spend thousands on an engine (without losing my head :) ).

the idea is now to have it able to drive again and when the house is there to start building the engine by the end of this year.

The plan for now is to have the engine in next saturday. i will try to get as many pictures as possible of this and show some more of the old block :)

An EK9 with a B18c-R under the hood... The way it should be :)

Don't forget about me :))
