Washed, polished or waxed your car lately? This sub forum is intended for members to post their reviews/opinions of car care/cleaning products, what results they had with a particular product and any tips/techniques used.
And as the saying goes "a picture tells a thousand words" so don't forget to take some pics!

Here is a great site for claying your car. Claying to me is the ultimate step in truly detailing the exterior of your car. Detailing Clay : Starters' Guide - Detailing World

I just read over that guide and it is great, thank you!:nice:

but he says once the car is clayed you must polish then seal and or wax it. The last time I clayed my car I waxed after it with meguiars tech wax and it the car looked and felt great! But what is the sealant? what sealants do people use and do you use a sealant before waxing the car??

thanks :nice:

AFAIK you can either use a sealant or wax, not sure if you would use both. The sealant generally lasts longer than wax i.e up to 6 months but you need a really clean surface in order for the sealant to bond so ideally apply after claying.

A sealant seals in the protection and shine while a wax adds depths and a extra layer of protection

Do both of these then a few days later top it up with a spray detailer, this will bring it up the best and keep it beading for ages.
When i do a full clean on mine it looks great for at least 3 weeks with amazing beading :D

Brilliant thanks guys! :nice: can you recommend any good sealants please?

Great sub-forum :nice: Any advice on what to use on red recaros without them fading?

one thing i will say is stay away from the turtle wax nano tech cleaning range as its pants! :nono:

Use this on your seats.

punch suede cleaner - Products

I think they are colour fast anyway so won't fade.

That stuff tends to be cheaper at your local key maker/shoe repair shop. That's where I get it from :nice:

Damn good thread to follow!
:nice:
