EK9.org Trackday Kirkistown 16th june

I'm out a bloody fortune since I started prepping for this trackday.

Between coilovers, tires, remap, bushes/links/alignment not to mention brake fluid and other consumables.

Sucks that lots have pulled out but that's the way it goes.:((

Glad to hear there is still a decent gang taking part, hopefully be a great day!

Best of luck to everyone going!:nice:

what time do we need to be up there for? do i need to be up before you lot as i've never been before?

Track is open from 9.30 mate. It you haven't been before they like you early 10.15ish. So they can take you out in the flying ford for a few laps and give you a few pointers.

Its fairly safe down there to leave jerry can and tools in the paddock as Ive been doing this for a while now, there will also be people with jeeps and vans etc where you can leave your gear if you know them

The trackskills guys also wont mind if you want to leave stuff in their sign on room

FYI the cycle race will probably be heading from Kirkistown direction to ards some time not far past 10am. Me and "Ted777" are meeting in Newtownards at the start of the portaferry road at approx. 10AM to avoid the cyclists then its roughly 25mins to Kirkistown from there :nice:

We had a problem with a guy who was supposed to be sending us some Semi-slicks so we are both running Yokohama AD08s tomorrow. At least they are a bit cheaper than a proper track tyre

@Spek9

I was just reading on Traffic Ni and they say:

''North Down Cycle Event - Ards Peninsula

North Down Cycling Club's annual Coastal Challenge charity cycling event is being held on Sunday 16 June 2013.

This year will see around 1000 cyclists participating in the event on a route going around the Ards Peninsula. Cyclists will leave Bangor at 10:00am and head along the coast on the A2 to Portaferry, then make their way back to Bangor via Newtownards on the A20 Portaferry Road and the A21 Bangor Road. Motorists should expect delays
''

So they will be on the outer coast road going by that.

Il be getting the ferry at Portaferry around then I hope.

Yes that's correct, they will be on the opposite side of the peninsula that we will be traveling on from 10am but I'm not sure how long it will take for them to reach the side that we will be traveling on to kirkistown

yea i guess i better get to bed lol

see ya'll tomorrow :D
