Nice subtle mods there fella!

How much did the N1 set you back?

P.s. I give it a month before the mod bug bites, HARD! :p

Josh..

Id give it a month until you swap out that straight through de-cat for a baffled one :nono: . (unless its mainly weekend or track use)

I had my N1 like that for 2months and it was way to raspy round 3k to bear, but then i was doing a fair amount of miles, round 3000miles a month round town drivin at stupid oclock, i think my neighbours would have actualy payed for the new baffled decat if i had asked them hahaha.

Fitted the decat and N1 back box this morning along with the quick shift. The car feels quicker and sound is very deep though when the VTEC kicks in it gets really rippy.

Sorry not much to see though it has taken out the play I had in the old stick and feels a lot more exact

Issues fitting: I broke two bolts on back box taking them off (rust) and had to heat the nuts off to take new bolts. The stick was easy but it did make contact with heat shield when in position so I had to bend the shield a bit to accomodate it.

You might want to seal the adjustment join on the de-cat with exhaust putty , they always blow there!

A wee mod (Socks)while I await my delivery of Spoon rear brace/Spoon air filter and Spoon Air Flow Pipe. I should be ready to change the oil/filter putting in Fuchs Race Pro R oil, new bushes on gear changer and give it a service, GKN iridium spark plugs etc this weekend.

I also needed two solenoids that were missing when the installer fitted my Toad alarm. A work mate has them so sold me two cheap, so then my central locking will work off the Toad key fob.

Still to purchase new ignition leads going with Magnecor KV85 I hope they come in Blue I have seen them in that colour though the photo I have seen on the site selling them is Red cables?

Still to purchase a radio band expander they seem to be between £12 E Bay-£15 to purchase from Funky Power. Cannot see difference in pictures they seem very much the same article.

But this will be enough for this month, any other mods are a lot more expense and may need saving up for.

Have not made up my mind how I will go or what. May do some engine mods with a new ECU but will do the brakes first with discs/calipers and pads. All will take time.

I have it booked into Progrip for Wheel Geometry to be done on Monday, he did my Dads Impreza to Prodrive settings and has a good name in doing geometry in track cars as well. This will be anything from £42 to £52 depending on what needs done.

Serviced the car and changed the petrol filter and spark plugs. The spark plugs were in a worse state than I thought, no 1.1 gap. But they were NGK iridiums. Seems a good improvement already.

Still awaiting filter from supplier along with rear bar.

Fitted Spoon Rear top bar and Spoon bend on induction. Two relative straight forward jobs.

The cutting out the rear wheel well covers was trickiest bit due to slant of the well and making fitting the strut brace shoes need to be cut down to the level they go on, had to be a bl**dy good guess. Easy removed the top speaker cover/spoeakers to allow to socket on extension get down to tighten, speakers were ripped, thought they were goosed when I got the car. Used a 20mm hole saw drill and a keyhole saw (fine tooth) to cut them then filed and sandpapered the plastic edge smooth. Tightend one side shoe and bar RH side, tightend other allan nut on bar after locating nuts on shoes, then tightened them in place.

This car has had some sort of induction on it before in Japan by the looks of the box fittings. The front elbow only needed some 10mm nut bolts removed split the front intake box and rejoin together with rubber bend supplied for the kevlar pipe and use the rubber & washer (from bit removed on existing box) for spacing under the elbow bolt and tighten in place.

I would have taken some pictures but I was servicing a C5 so it was dark before I finished and test run them both.

The EK9 sounds a bit deeper in tone and a bit louder in vtec, the back end is feeling a bit stiffer and silenced a few noises from back end, starting ot handle like my old C2 VTS round the twisties.

Still to do new filter, await its supply.

Jobs still to do when I get cash, Spoon N1 Mid pipe, Brake 4 pots, new discs and pads, gearbox mounts bottom, Front and rear bottom braces and two 6x9 rear speakers as the ones existing are ripped as already mentioned.

So your Ek9 handles worse than a standard ek9 then lol
