Hi all,

After spending a huge amount of money on this car and finally getting it to where I wanted it and running 110% I am thinking of selling it to buy back one of my old cars that I sold to my mate which to be honest I have regretted selling ever since I handed the keys over to him.

I love this car and it is savage for what it is, a real fire cracker! but in all honesty I did love my old car more, so I don't want the chance of owning it once again to pass me.

- Lite Tuned carbon bonnet = £300

- Mase remap on ecu when I first bought the car = £650
- New Distributor = £200
- New dizzy cap and rotor arm = £25
- New NGK spark plug leads = £45
- New crank sensor = £37
- New ECU multiplug = £25
- Genuine Honda parts inc -
Cambelt
Head gasket
Radiator thermostat
Power steering belt
Alternator belt
Air con belt
Genuine Honda radiator pre-mixed coolant = £181

- Labour to fit above genuine Honda parts = £250 (all fitted on 17/1/09)
- TDi bill for fault diagnostics = £460
- TDi bill for all work carried out to fix several faults and remap new ecu = £938

TOTALLING TO - £4,261

I have several big reciepts for the car and all import paperwork, including mileage certificate when the car was imported and converted to mph.

The car was imported in january 2008 and had the speedo converted in february 2008, mileage reading was 74,754 klms, and its now showing 82,500 on the clock, so actually current mileage is only 54,500 miles!

MOT is until 30th October 2009, and tax is valid until end of march.

I am in two minds whether to sell the car or not as it really is something special now, TDi have done an absolute awesome job of the car and have mapped it very very smooth indeed, by far the best map that the car has had. It is now very fast and produces an addictive sound track, the loud high pitch whine of the supercharger and the lovable sound of vtec kicking in through the exhaust, which has now been lowered to 5000 rpm. TDi commented on how much of a strong and extremely flat torque curve the car now has as it produces the same amount of torque at 8700 rpm as it does at 4000 rpm!! They ahve never seen anything like it, and were quite frankly astonished at how quick and powerful it is at only 5 psi! The charger itself is capable of flowing 10 psi, but to be honest 10 psi is the maximum for any stock Honda engine, so I did not want to take any risks and didn't want to loose the world reknowned Honda reliability, so 5 psi is well well within the engine's limits and can be enjoyed just as much as a stock EK9 at the limits without any worry.

The only 'bad' point, (if you could cal it that) is both the front and rear bumpers could do with a respray to make the bodywork 100% as they have the odd scuff marks, but nothing major, just a simple blow over will be fine as no damage on them.

I think I have gone on enough now so if you are genuinely interested please contact me.

Test drives will only be available upon proof of insurance cover, otherwise it will be passenger ride only.

Price is £6950 and firm, so please no offers.

Thanks for looking!

WOW that is probably one of the best looked after 9's i've ever seen. sounds rediculous .

wish i had the money mate that car sounds pretty damm rare the parts it has.
good luck with the sale.

Thanks guys!

It is rare indeed mate, a lot of the parts that is.

I'm looking to buy back my Impreza STi Type R, the 2 door coupe lightweight model.

Wow! Is this car really for sale again? Such a nice car, i guess its good that so many people have been able to enjoy it ;)

Blinx - I'm not sure what your on about mate but I'm only the second owner of it.

if you have a RR graph post it up, may be helpfull with the sale ...

I have indeed got the rr print out and it's the only thing I forgot to take a photo of, so I'll get it up asap!

Well it was advertized on this forum by the previous owner a very little while ago,

So it is for sale again by you, the second owner,

I also thought what blinx thought.

Doesn't exactly make it a load of owners then does it?? Blinx made it out as if every man and his dog has owned it or something?! Regardless of whether it was a joke, that, in a for sale thread could be very misleading to anyone who is patentially interested in the car.

I bought it off Ant who was also a member on here back in October, it's not like I bought it and thrashed it around for a couple of months, I've put nothing but sweat blood and tears into this car since buying it, and the majority of it was to get the car up to a good standard and running well.

So before this thread gets out of hand I'll just say that Ant was the 1st owner of this car when it was imported, he owned it for 10 months before selling it to me as he didn't really use it what with having a company car and working silly long hours. I'm obviously the second owner and only looking to sell it to buy back my old car. If it sells it's sells, if it doesn't it's no big deal as I've spent so much money on it and it's now running exactly as it should and some! So either way I'll be happy.

This is a great car, and i think everyone on here knows that, it was just a joke as its going on to is third owner now which isn't even a big deal, anybody on this forum will know this is a very nice car with some very different upgrades like the SC, C's shifter, and NSX brakes, its not your everyday ek9, and a potential buyer will know that for sure :nice:

Any how, if you feel my comment is misleading i apologize and will be more than happy to delete it along with all the other comments that discuss or quote it, just pm me :nice:

That's fine blinx, thanks for clearing that up and for the comments. :)
