Right... so i attempted the b16a swap into my ek3 today with my mechanic friend and got all the way to the point where i had both engines side by side and then it hit me that the tw@ that sold me it and explained it would slot straight in was VERY VERY WRONG!!! the harness he gave me is not the one for my car!!! so as it stands iv had no choice but to put old engine back in as my missus is about to have our baby so i cant be off the road hence reverting back to the shitty 1.5 and now im back where i started but £250 down :angry2: so iv decided to sell it along with the car and just buy a vti :)) just wanted to let you all know that im really.. and i mean REALLY f***ed off!!!! sorry to rant lol.
oh and thanks for listening

M8 all u need is the b16 ecu and loom then it will go streight in

B series mounts Inc L bracket
Ek4 loom
Non immobilised ECU
B series gear linkage
Drive shafts

If you were keeping it I'd come have a look for you as I'm heading home for the weekend to visit tropher-ek4 and your not far from me.

I have a loom that you need, let me know if you want to buy it?

Ah Makkie man that sucks....
I feel for you mate, you were really excited about it aswell...
mate i still think you should put it in there.... OR.... sell the 1.5 Civic and keep the B16 that way you can rag your VTI all you want knowing if all fails you can simply slot in the new engine..

The rpice you payed for it bud, you may aswell keep it... Its also a B16A from what i remember... so you got 10 horses over the uk vti already...

would be a shame to let that engine go mate..

best of luck bud..

iv got all the things listed and it still wont got in, the brackets aren`t necassary as it has the same mounts, the harness is a bit dodgy anyway i`m gunna sell the engine as iv got minimal free cash with my little dude on the way and im moving into my new house soon so its all too much at the mo. but iv been made an offer of £700 for the whole conversion, engine, wiring loom, driveshafts plus the engines immaculate you can see it on ebay and its all refurbed :( dont want to sell it but its the larger portion of cash for the vti :( and cheers anyway fellas. your a good old bunch

do you think it`s fairly priced?? i mean people are trying to sell the engine on its own for 650 in poor nick and im only asking for 700 for the full conversion???

TBH mate £700 is overpriced! Normally going rate for a conversion is around £500 mark! If you've got someone wanting to give you £700 rip there arm off! You can get full B16B swaps now for around £1000.

i let jimbo have mine for a bargain cause i wanted to pass it on to someone who will use it properly..

but like said above it is a bit pricey but if people will pay it then go for it....
Good luck mate, keep us updated with what goes on...

cheers buddy, i know it`s abit steep but that around the price the others are going for, just want to get shot of it so i can get my vti, but yeah i`ll keep ya`ll posted on how its all going and when i get my vti there will be a new thread with all my bits and bobs fitted so keep an eye out.

£700 is alot for a b16a/a2 usually full setup would go £500

so do it!!

Would a Big Mac or Mcflurry cheer you up :D??

All about doing your research i guess bud :(. Your best off just buying a VTI anyways mate. Rear disks, nicer interior and a lot less hassle :D.

true say, and that clown is my worst enemy... son of a b*tch stole my last name lmao.

F#cking LOL!!!!!!

God luck with finding a decent VTI matey, there's always a good ammount for sale! Seems wierd that i paid close to 6k for one 4 years ago and my mate just picked up a minter with 30k on it for a grand!!!

jammy b*stard!!! thats an absolute steal!!! i bought my bucket because i planned to do a con and if it had worked it would have totalled at 1250 but all went wrong so here i am back to where i started but need that engine gone as it`ll be the larger part of my car fund.
