i would tend to agree with that opinion, but this has made me think twice recently:

this is cool and i was considering the whole USDM look but its just so impractical the way i would want it, but this s2k is subtle so it aint really HELLAFUSH kinda car if ya get me but its still wicked

i like when the wheels are nice flush with car. but i do not like when the wheels are 9+ inches wide on a civc (other than newer ones) I 16x8 +35 is very nice on a ek shassis. anything more is going to require - camber and a ton of pull on the fenders.

you have got to strike a balance between drivability and looks imo. If you think about it the initial purpose of lowering cars was to make them faster. look at touring cars and even f1 cars, they are basically on the floor so you need to adjust your ride height to suite the roads in your area. my old car was slammed but it was very much drivable and i could get over any speed bump with no issues at all and at the same time it still handled brilliantly.

at the same time though i am not a big fan of mad camber or excessive stretch on tyres etc. Think its just a scene thing that will eventually find its way.

I run 16*8,5 ET25 on my EK with 215/40 tyres.I think it looks great:))

But alot of dudes go to far and try to stretch a 165 tire on a 11" wide wheel or what ever.

They look really good in photoshoots when parked up but I struggle to see how they'd fare on a racetrack or if they'd even be allowed on!

All depends on what you want from your car. I agree that they look immense in pics. I recently fitted my ek with bbs rims and had to run - camber to get the fitment. IMO looked great but was undrivable even daily, let alone chucking it about.
I have since reverted back to normal offset wheels and have fallen back in love with my car.
Function>Fashion everyday!

i've seen this around, looks nice in person.:nice:

I'm all for having your car lowered to remove the 4x4 arch gap, but the negative camber on some cars becomes ridiculous, IMO it takes it away from the beauty of the car to have wheels which are at a completely different angle to the natural lines of the car.

Personally I think there's a limit there's a point at which it not only clearly ruins the drive but also looks retarded. I'm not against a certain amount of drop stretch and camber if thats the look you're going for it can suit some cars if executed well and not taken too far.

I wouldn't go crazy on my own car because first and foremost its a mode of transport and I buy a car wanting to enjoy the handling and performance so that will always go before the aesthetic even if I'm no fan of massive arch gaps.

There also seems to be an equal amount of people jumping on the hater bandwagon as there are people on the stance bandwagon. Let them do what they want I say, would be a boring place if people weren't doing different things. Getting all irate about what someone else is doing to their car is pretty pathetic tbh.

This. If you dislike it that much why do you care. Everynow and then a thread will pop up on civic life, with a title hella flush, slammed eg etc etc. Those threads create so much controversy its unreal.

What i don't understand is if the ''haters'' dislike the movement that much why are they opening threads with content inside they're blatantly not going to agree with or appreciate. It gets me quite frustrated as they go and just cuss the whole movement out every time. I really don't understand it. If your all for function>form spend that time researching how to make you car function more efficiently, rather than crying about how ''hellaflush'' someone else car is ffs.

i live here in the states and there are 3 kinds of hondas, ur sleepers, ur ricers, and ur hellaflush guys, now lowering ur car an inch or an inch and a half no biggy but sitting on the ground getting stuck in ur driveway is a bit much:nice:

and having to roll out your fenders so the wheels fit... wheels were ment to fit u shouldnt have to roll your fenders to get them in, and camber a lil aint to bad but when u have to change tires every 2 months cuz ur wearing out your tires is just idiotic

thats my two cents:D
