Morning

I'm Matt from Folkestone in Kent, finally joined after looking for a ek9 for a while

I currently have a 03 plate Evo 8 running 375bhp and 310whp and as every day I have a astra 888 diesel which is 200bhp (Photos further down thread)

I'm looking for a ek9 as the evos just to much money sitting there and to big for me!

Live in folkestone in Kent so hopefully have a ek9 or even dc2/dc5. Looking to part ex for the Evo.

Looking forward to meeting some of you soon.

i was in the same boat as u mate i just sold my evo9 fq-340 as i wasnt using it as much as i would of liked due to rising costs to run etc, and then went and bought a vsm ek9 and put a b18 in it with 209bhp. however desperate for an evo again and if i hadnt jus sold my 9 i would have definately been interested in trying to do a deal for you for your evo 9 :(
 
Jordan, do you regret selling the Evo for a ek9?

The power of the evo is amazing but I want something cheaper and smaller so I can throw it round corners I miss front wheel drive tbh, and want a ek9 to use for track days aswell
 
welcome mate, EK9 is much more raw than the heavily driver aided evo 9... :p

P.s those 888 astra's are mental huge amounts of tourque just the only ones i have seen chucked out big diesel clouds of smoke but were running and set up prefectly they just chucked it out though.
 
I've always wanted an ek9 it's just they have no torque so surely they feel slow when driving them hard? Or am I wrong?

Yeah on sport mode my astra has 330bls torque 0-60 in about 6.5seconds. And the smoke it throws out is unbelievable haha you can't see anything behind for a while!

nice mate, weird how the plate on your 888 says 888 and CTR... handy as your after a 9 :D
 
TBH 96 - 98 EK9's are the better one's.. pre-facelift i think looks nicer...

Your evo is bad ass.. the astra doesn't look to shabby either.. thanks for posting pics.

although you will loose heaps of tourque and even alot of HP compared to your current car's i am sure you will fall in love with the Vtec experience along with razor sharp handling... you'll wish you'd joined the crew earlier :))
 
lancer register?

I wouldnt say its let down it the weight, its not being able to use the power

Yeah man ive been on there a few months i bought it from a trader on there (John@evobreakers) which is a good friend and hes very popular on there

The last 3 owners its had have been on lancer register.
