Help!!!

if they ask who owns the car then i say my mum lol

i get stopped maybe 2 times a week on a bad week

ive only ever been warned once by a garda

its technically illegal as my mum never ever drives the car, she only has an automatic liscense and cant drive a manual lol

its known as ''fronting'' but theres no way in hell that they can prosicute you

would not be so bad if she had a normal licence...but wat if somthing happened and they said..no insurance as your licence will only cover a auto...touch wood it wont like..:p

I'm never going to crash anyway

touch wood lol

Did your mum tell them she didn't have a manual licence and that it's a manual car? If she didn't, then I doubt the insurance company would pay out as her policy wouldn't be valid, you can't insure a car you don't have a licence for, and it's her policy you'd have to claim on in the event of a crash as you don't have your own. I'd check it out if I was you :nerv:

Im in the exact same position as Leek9, no other option unfortunately, had to put the car in my fathers name aswell to make it legit! Im paying 1300 fully comp, cost 550 to insure the father on the ek9 and 750 to have me as a named driver.
Its the only way you can insure an EK9 in ireland without paying silly money.
Funny thing to is quinn wont offer me a new business quote on the car under my own name either even tho its insured with them???

I'm the same...i have 2 cars the ek9 for the weekend and the evenings and an astra for work and ****....i put my ek9 in my dads name and he has it insured and i jst drive it on my insurance from my astra...

not a bad ide if you try and get insurance under one of your parnets?
