Honda Said They Dont Use MTF Gearbox Oil Any More :S Where Can I Get It?

Land rover are uselss I rang my local one up earlier to get a price.. lady put me through to parts and no answer.. so I said ill try again later.. which I did... again no reply so the lady takes my number and said she will get someone to call me... guess what.. I didnt get a call back! typical... will try them again tommorow

I paid £6 per litre from Honda in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk!

Why's that?

I use it and have never had any problems at all.

I just didn't like the Redline MTL at all. It made some already worn synchro's shift even worse. Just a crunchier overall feel compared to Honda's newest MTF.

i take my own container in to get those prices,, as honda get the oil in big drums

Guys if you can find Pennzoil Synchromesh its just as good if not better, its all i run :nice:

ryt guys finally got through to land rover today and they can do me MTF94 for 6.50 a litre so im happy with that plus they come in their own containers.. I cant believe how the dealerships prices vary!

Just phoned up my local Honda and its £5.10 per litre so £15.30 for 3L that's with my own containers, will be doing that tomorrow :)
Not sure why price differs so much.

which dealer is this.
that more then half the price i got quoted.

I know this might be a ridiculous question but is there a part number for the MTF in its own containers. As previously mentioned my local honda dealer asked me to bring in a container as they only get large drums...

No there is no part number :S
Its just HONDA MTF

Every Honda part be it fluids/grease/whatever has a part number.

The latest Honda MTF is
P/N 08798-9031A

Acura: P/N 08798-9031A

With that said, I don't know if the part number will differentiate on the other side of the pond.

Use redline mtl instead you will not look back mate, the oilman really rates this stuff ,i tryed it once and that was it, much much smoother than honda mtf ! ek9turbo (will) can vouch for this as he uses it as well

Just paid £25 from Lanrover for 5 litres of the stuff, apparently its the same as the Honda stuff.
