and that they now use Castrol SMXS ?

any where else I can get the MTF gearbox oil from?

also I heard some one say landrover MTF is the same?

Cheers

Land rover is the same, and its cheaper apparently!

honda still do it as i bought it from them last week cost me 15quid for 3 ltrs

Land Rover MTF94, it's the same stuff, works a treat in my EK9, gearbox is super smooth :D

inlinefour.com carries it and they ship internationally. You have to email them for a quote if you aren't in the US. $6 USD a quart I think.

right found a honda where im working and theres is £7.51 + vat a litre,

and land rover is £5.21 + vat a litre

is there any difference in it at all? or should i just go get it from honda?

someone would flame me about this but i have actually used a motorcycle transmission oil on my EK9 tranny.

it's Motul Transoil Expert 10W-40 semi synthetic (ester based), it works flawlessly, super smooth shifts all around.

fair enough, well think im goin to go for land rover as heard it totaly the same?

Cardi- I wouldn't even bother using that redline fluid, I tried it and was very unhappy with it, you probably will be too. I recommend you stick with honda unless you have a race-only ek9.

Alright dino! just wondering why you wore unhappy with redline mtl? did you get any problem with it? did it damage the gearbox in any way?

I've already got the oil so i will change it in the next couple of days don't want to chuck £52 away!

chears

Why's that?

I use it and have never had any problems at all.

Cant believe the prices you guys are getting! Ive been told by my local honda its going to cost me 11quid a litre

Is all these prices from Honda bringing your own container in for them to fill? My local Honda only gets them in drums.

Land Rover specialist close to where i live, £22 for 5 litres of MTF94, exactly the same as Honda stuff. Always used it and never had a problem!
