How often do you change your oil?

Thanks for the info OPIE, i think what you say holds true under normal driving but as hard as some of us push our cars i think its cheap insurance, me for example when i drain my oil it pours out like water, the heat from the turbo really brakes down oil, i am sure some of these guys running track days on NA motors have similar experience??

Castrol GTX 10w40 and a honda hamp filter every 2k miles

Only takes me 10 minutes to change the oil/filter so not bothered about changing it that frequently, keep it running smooth :)

Good thinking, but if the car is used hard go for a synthetic. They will do a better job while it is in there no matter how fresh the basic mineral based semi will be.

Oilman whats the max temp Pro s can take before you need to start worrying about it breaking down? :drive:

This thread reminds me i need to change my oil and filter,

must get on opie and see what my pro-s will cost me !

do u guys burn oil when using fully sync? heard it is "thinner" thus it gets through the oil seals easier and enters the combustion chamber.

Your throwing away good oil, keep it in there till 6-8 if not more.

Cheers

Damn, agreed, that is throwing away good oil it seems.
For my ITR. Every 6,000/7,000 miles Mobil1 0w40 Fully Synthetic.
Always fully synthetic for our Type R motors, always!
I do my gearbox fluid at the same time too.
