Usually change mine every 3500 miles but getting close to that now and now i`m running silkolene Pro S the oil still looks like new :nice:

How often are you guys changing your oil when running full synthetics?

Not done any trackdays this year, when i`m tracking i change my oil very frequently.. :drive::drive::drive::drive:

I used to change mine every 3,000 miles or so.

I am using Silkolene Pro S also and according to Oil Man, due to the advancements of modern day fully synthetic oils like Silkolene, we should be OK to change our oil up to 10,000 mile intervals. Car, mods and usage dependent.

I think I may just advance it a bit and change every 6,000 miles or so.

Servicing can get expensive.

HAMP filter, Silkolene and gearbox oil comes to about £100.

5-6000 when using synthetic under normal driving conditions, 3000-3500 if using conventional oil under normal driving conditions.

When driving hard, i change it when at my discretion, If doing a track day the oil should be changed before and after, 1 track days worth of oil will have the same break down as about 4000 miles of street driving, i have seen this verified via oil sample tests by independent labs (blackstone).

I Change my oil every 3rd month or so.

Doesnt need it but my mate works at Honda as a mechanic :)

Mine was done at 92 K KMs,98 on it now and I'll be doing it on Monday,so I'll stick to 6K intervals, the oil looks perfect so I'll try and keep it in good condition!

Do you guys change gearbox oil at the same time too?

4.5k on the Teg...

Though it has an appetite for Mobil 1, so its almost a total loss oil system:shocked::p Costs a fair bit keeping it topped up!

Going to try the Silkolene Pro-S next as it seems to be the oil of choice....The Mobil 1 fully synthetic 0W-40 is just too thin for a higher mileage VTEC IMO

Every 6k for me but by then it is very dark, not black but getting that way.

Gonna do my Type R after every track day i think coz thats all it will be for :)

i change oil, oil filter and plugs every 5,000km

and my gearbox oil and feul filter every 10,000 km

genuine honda filter with castrol GTX 10w40, doesnt burn any

I change oil & oil filter every 3k!

Gearbox oil, fuel filter and plugs every 10k!

I use Millers 10w40 semi synthetic. Never burns any and always nice and clear! :)

i change engine oil every 5k with oil filter.
i use motul 300v 10-40 chrono and hamp oil filter.

sparks plugs and fuel filter every 10k
oem ngk platinum plugs and oem honda fuel filter ftw !

gearbox oil every 20k with p/s oil
mtf gearbox oil and motul p/s oil

i need to change brake fluid and clutch fluid !!

Well you guys are great for business! If you are using a decent synthetic it will be good for at least 10,000 miles or once a year, what ever comes first. For those of you using the likes of the Pro S and changing at 6,000 or before are just throwing away good oil.

A semi synthetic, a good one should ideally be changed every 5,000 or so.

Oil going dark is not a bad thing, just means its doing its job of cleaning and does not mean the oil has had it. You should see how dark the oil gets on my tuned diesel engine, the oil goes black just thinking about going in that thing :)

excellent advise guy i use motul semi as at the mo mine is used for everyday driving and try to do it evey 5/6 thou with hamp filter :))

think I'm due an oil change soon. not sure whether to use fully or semi synthetic tho, i think 3000 is a bit keen, but it's nice to hear that these cars are getting looked after (pampered even)

6000-8000 for me :nice:

Motul seems popular here.

I would go 5w-40 synthetic over a semi anyday.
