How old are most of us civic'ers?

Im 27 and have had a 96 civic since I was 16..... I LOVE my car and don't think I will ever part with it.

Oh Dear, i'm 39 and got 3 EK's, well 1 EJ9 daily, 1 Standard EK4 and my EK4 wich i brought new, with b18. they are all R plates, my neigbours think i'm mental.

Keep thinking i need a more grown up car, but love the EK's

 thats mental.... You don't have to have insurance in the U.K if you a seperate bank account that has over £200,000 in it and is locked like an ISA... then you don't have to have insurance.. lol.

You lucky chap i'd have nearly a grand a year to spend on my car extra

I'm pretty sure public liability cover is £5 million so I'd imagine that is the amount you need to be worth to self insure. £200k wouldn't cover much, imagine if you were that guy that came off the motorway and landed on the train tracks! :nerv:

Im 28 now :-(

Feeling a bit old for the 9 now haha

Once ive finished renovating our house (next year) think I may get something a bit more mature.........would love an elise or maybe a bike if the mr's will allow.

The 200K would have to be in a bond to be able to porve you have the money..

Liability does not cover your car it covers YOU...
If you were to damage property or someone ( medical care ) they would be claiming agasin't YOU in court. yes an insurance company would cover these normally, but you would simply go to court, like all matters...

honest there is such a thing as not having insurnace and it being completely lawful.. ever heard of FREE man of the land...

To be honest there is not a law in this land that is not covered by the 3 common law's
**one shall not cause harm, loss or injury to another**
There is no law that states you have to have insurnace. there are only statutes.... these are only given the force of law by the concent of the goverened..
By holding a license this means you have given consent and therefore have to have tax, M.O.T, insurnace and such...
sorry to go off topic.

I'm 30 and had my EK9 for almost 5 years and I still don't get bored of it, puts a smile on my face every time I take it out!
