How to wire angel eyes?

Hi guys, firstly this is for my Is200. I want angel eyes but I want them to come on when my interior light goes on, i.e when I unlock the car.

I need them to also be more normal sidelights but don't want the interior light to come on when I turn the sidelights on! I've been advised to use a diode as it will be 1 way, but how do I know which diode to get? How do I connect this?

Any help would be great.

You could use a 4pin relay switched via you interior light, not sure on what type of diode tho.try googling it?

Basically diods have three pins and there are two types a pnp and an npn and you require a pnp but it isn't easy as that to make a circuit so I suggest you search google for make a switching circuit with a diode.
