your better off tranfering the car over to your mum or dads name and get insured as a named driver under them

insurance in ireland is a joke but im surprised you cant get insured as england seems to be pretty easy to get insurance in

never seen tour EK9 about

any pics?

im 21 3years no claims bonus and was insured properly on a glanza turbo payin 1200euro with quinn direct when i got my ek9 they said they dont insure these cars but since im an existing customer by law they have to insure me and i got it for 1600euro

the price of insuring 9's has gone up drasticly.. well over here anyway. about a year ago just when i sold my 9 i got my renewal quote in for the year and it was £440 i was 22 with 4 years ncb at the time. Now its shot up to £800 which i know is still not bad considering some of the daft quotes you hear about but still has gone up a good bit. The reason for this im told is the amount of them that are being crashed, within the last year or so there has been many accidents involving them hence the price to insure has shot up. To many people driving them like arseholes and ending up crashing is the main cause of the stupid quotes everyone is getting.

your age will not help your cause , admiral was my best . they insure it as a vti-r . mine came in at £510 . but iam 15 years older (sounds scarie saying that) happy hunting

insurance in ireland is a joke,im 23 goin on 24 with 5 years no claims bonus,an i found it almost impossible to get insured an my type-R , some companies did not have the car in there listings an there for could not insure me what a joke, everyone else told me that they dont insure jap imports , but yet had a glanza turbo insured with the same company , they told me a had to be 25 with a full licence to insure the type-R , i dont get it and no way would they give in after numorous aruguments with them , i switched companies , and eventually found one ,this was after after 4 or 5 days of phone call after phone call in or around 10-13 companies , some pain in the ass ,,,, but worth it as it was a type-R ha ------ jus makin the point that insurance in ireland is a joke
