I hate to say it that is really lazy!

Nozel Dazely are really good! give them a try as they were the cheapest for me a year ago tel 01276 25996

Funny how the two official club insurers are missing from that list above??!!

Sky Insurance will give you a discount on the basis you are a member of this club, you dont even need to be insuring an EK9!

What is the problem wit admiral group?? im insured my 9 wiv them they were far cheaper than anyone else. have there been issues over value of car etc with anyone?

For the price i got my DC2 covered for with Elephant (Admiral group) I really dont think a specialist could compete...

Saying that, it IS a UK car & i am 30+ now:wow:

not to worry guys went with adrain flux got lots of stuff for the money thanks for the help i talked to them about elephant/admiral and you are not insured if you have an ek9 on there policy!!! sky insurance wanted £1941 3rd party!! and im already with them :-0

How can you say that??? i rang them and they quoted me £33 to change to an EK9, i then filled out a email request for the same thing and the result came back the same) those quotes were for a 00 import honda civic type R 1.6.....so whats wrong with the above that you aint insured??

You would be insured with ADMIRAL or ELEPHANT :p

You have to tell them its a HONDA CIVIC IMPORT TYPE R and 1600cc....

Hey OLLIE, the only reason i didnt mention SKY INSURANCE on the list is because MATT O said his renewal was high high, no hard feelings ;)

Iv insured my 9 with admiral a while back as '1997 VTEC R (IMPORT)' The only model this could possibly is ek9. since then it has been updated on their system as 'TYPE R (IMPORT)', I have rang them and double checked that they both apply to the ek9. They do! and being 22 wiv 0 years no claims, and 1 crash, I pay under £900 comprehensive. That is less than half of the next cheapest. And I rang ALOT of people.

Ollie,

He is already with Sky and therefore didn't think that Sky needed mentioning again!

its all sorted now any way ive gone with adrian flux they knew exactley what i was talking about being petrol heads themselves and all my mods + future mods are insured which includes putting a cage in!!! also ive got breakdown cover which take you back home and not to the closest garage like the rest of them and also covers if you break down on track they'll take you and the car home after the session im happy either way and can pay over 9 months rather than 3 which is what sky wanted :-o that would have ment £580 deposit and £462 every month for 3 months thats a wallet bender!!

the problem with that is no where on the insurance document does it say it's an EK9 irrelevant of whether there is other car that matches there description. I've had plenty of dealings with Insurance companies in the past and they will use anything to get out of paying out. I was advised not to insure my car with Elephant or Admiral by themselves!

I didn't think it was worth the risk.

In the end i went with Noel Dazely, great team and great prices.
paid just over £700.

I used to be Insured with Admiral - Was half decent apart from the fact they got an F mixed up with the S in the registration lol! :angry2:

You could give Bell - car insurance a call, Aparently great with over 21s - My friend got his EK9 fully comp for £800 @ 23 years old.
