Ok after doing tons of searching about the whole 5-lug 32mm and 36mm axle thing I have a simple question

I have 2 sets of 5-lug brakes I was told one set was USDM ITR and the other was JDM ITR.

So I took my old LS integra axle and put it in the both 5-lug setups, both spindles on both of the 5-lugs seem to take the axle in just fine.

My ? is if one of my setups was in fact the 36mm JDM spec 5-lug,my 32mm axle would not even fit the hub- I.E. 32mm and 36mm refer to the spline count and not the length of the actual axle itself.

any info would be great!

cheers!

The 32/36mm refer to diameter of cv joint shaft I'm not sure if the spline count is the same. Did the cv joint seem looser in one than the other set?

no it did not seem to be loose at all-I would think that the 36mm version would be loose as well but not sure..

Exactly..
The USDM & JDM 5-Lug should be exactly the same.

the 32mm and 36mm refers to the size of socket used on the nut on the end of the shaft.

USDM shafts take take the 32mm nut and JDM the 36mm one

if your shafts fit both sets and aren't loose then they must be both usdm or both jdm

^^ precisely. when i swapped to k20 i had to put 36mm hubs because of the dc5 driveshafts.

is 36mm not 00 JDM ITR setup? just put in the 32mm which is the popular hubs.
