Would a J'S RACING CATBACK be much better than a mugen twinloop ? for power wise ? anybody here have any experience with them ? Thanks

Im guessing they would be better mate ive heard a lot about the twinloop being too restrictive

Hell yes! The twin loop is restrictive over a OEM ek9 system :nice:

J's racing 60rs is a beast of an exhaust!!! No contest from a twinloop man imo

Not to mention it weight's like 5-6kg for the whole system iirc, for the TI version! :win:

Bloody hell the newbies are out in force tonight. Just to note besides already knowing this, it still only took me 3min to find it all on google.

The J's racing system is one of the lightest on the market. And being a 60mm straight through race design its very well flowing.

In comparison to the mugen twin loop which doesn't weigh that much less than standard. Being only 54mm on the EK9 versions and having plenty of bends its not the free'est flowing exhaust around but certanly not restrictive as the silencers are still straight through just bent round twice. The only reason to fit a mugen is to keep the noise down and still have a quite decent flow over a standard system.

J's 10kg. http://www.ek9.org/forum/photos-videos/23179-my-new-js-racing-60rs-titanium-exhaust.html
Mugen 15kg. (Just fitted one and weighed it because im sad)
Standard around 19kg

But if its pure performance I would say the J's is in the top 5 of the "of the shelf systems to buy".

The biggest problem with the Twinloop is the diameter in the muffler, which is smaller than the rest of the system. And as Kieran is implying, search!

Sorry I cant see how the twin loop will be restrictive over the OEM EK9 system.

I had a Twin loop on my EG6 B18C then swaped it out for a standard EK9 system brand new from honda and found the car to be alot flatter.

I have recently swaped my twin loop back on and instantly felt the response and torque come back.

Edit: Maybe because I have a DC2 twin loop shortend and modified to fit an EG6, which is 60mm all through. But still the EK9 Twin loop will out flow the standard perforated chamber type standard back box.

There are dyno draphs floating about with the results of a ek9 w/ oem system and then the TL, I wouldn't of been 100% confident on it otherwise - and I wouldn't of stated. :nice:

Same day, dyno and car?

Would love to see these graphs.

But Even so I would probably still not be convinced. The basic princibles and design would show the TL to be free'er than a std system. A std system is only 2" at the joints has longer silencers, more silencers and an inferoir design.

I have seen DC5's get dyno figures of 245+hp with the 60mm TL fitted.

Yup and yup. It was on Honda tech a while ago - will try and resurrection it for you. :nice:

The twinloop is more restrictive than the standard exhaust ?? That cant be true.

Sure would have countless hours of design and flow data before they put it onto mass production.

Its shows it there on Zens.

Instand loss even with a spoon street box. Which surely cant be even more restrictive than the standard EK9 back box.

But if so! I have one that is 1 year old and only done around 3k miles for sale right now! :nice:
Anyone intrested?

my querry is how will the twinloop perform with the b pipe removed and a custome 2.5'' fitted (no silencers)
