Hi

I just changed my pads and noticed the old ones didn't wear evenly.
I'm not sure if this is normal.
One was worn down loads, the other still had plenty of meat left on it.
Is the caliper at fault is this normal?

Cheers

id say one of the caliper slider pins is siezed.jake it out and see if any of the rubbers are split and letting dirt in if so jus remove the muck and claen up pins then grease them and job done.

be more specific, each wheel has 2 pads, which two are we comparing?

It's the fronts.
Yes both wheels have 2 pads each.
But on both sides the inside pad was worn way more than the outside pad.

I checked the rubber areas, nothing is split and they seem to be moving fine.

i think this is normal, mine was the same, if its like 15 to 20% difference its nothing to worry about, any more than that might signal a proble.

is the caliper moving freely in the mounting?? if so, then no worries.

make sure the two pins that the calliper bolts onto the carrier are free moving, if they are then dont worry about it, just make sure your pads get changed when they need to :nice:

Is that not because there is only one piston. the piston is only one one side of the calliper and so exerts more pressure on one pad than the other?

I've found this to be the case with every set of pads i've changed with a single pot.
