i've done a k20a2 swap, and for the money i could have had a b series with similar power.
main reasons i chose to go k
6 speed box.
better fuel economy.
if i blow my engine up i just get another stock k20a2 for about a grand rather than spending a fortune on another b.
oem reliability.
if i decide in the future i want more power i can easily go over 300hp n/a or bolt on a turbo or supercharger for over 400hp, or aim for 600hp changing pistons and rods. (highest stock sleeved k20 ive seen was 822whp.....you will NEVER need to sleeve a k20 unless youre wanting to run 8's)
for me a near stock 250ish hp k20 being unstressed in a lighter car than it was intended and cheap to replace when it blows was a lot more apealing proposition than spending all that money on a bseries running pretty highly stressed at 250 hp, and all my money down the drain if it blew, or if i decided in the future i wanted more power.
i have a k20 dc2 running about 250 bhp, if anyone is wanting to know what one is like and can get to middlesbrough i would be more than happy to take anybody out in it
