Thought I'd get this up, and it's also nice to keep myself up to date with whats happening with my own car.

Basically.
This EG is my day to day work horse. It gets abused everytime it's driven. Loves racing. Has currently seen a trackday at Donington and a few laps round Rockingham (lol).

Little something on the motor; It has been tuned by Romain, at Roger Clark Motorsports amazing dyno cell (Dyno Dynamics). The motor made a healthy 302HP with 210ftlb torque. Reving to 9300. Peak power at 8800, carrying it to 9300.

Reason for the K24 build. I simply blew my K20A2 up. And the K24 is such an amazing motor for NA or boost. That well, it'll be stupid not to upgrade at this point :)

Now for some pictures (Understatement).

Now some of the build up pics;
This is what we started with.

Stripped her down and sent the whole thing off to get soda blasted. And it had a fair few baths in brake cleaner.
To come back to quality pieces like this;

My stock stroke crank bottom end is mated up to some mighty fine 4piston head work ;)
Ferrea 6000 valves and PSI springs.

Some 12.5:1 wiseco shelf pistons. Wish I put in some 13.7:1's now though tbh.

Vband intake fitting makes for an eye catching piece.

Hands down best intake on the market. This thing is a beast and can flow some serious air and matches some of the big ass 60-64mm Kinslers!

The air must be used and exited somewhere. And it flows out of this piece of art.
An ASP 4-1 header made 1.8" primaries, stepped to 2" secondaries. 2.5" collector with a megaphone on the end. Beast.

Fed by some FIC900's I got off a friend.

She has currently done just over 10,000 miles in 5 months. And a lot of little tweaks to be undergone to improve my midrange and peak power shall be done. As I have a few idea's and improvements that I know need to be done.

Looking great, the engine build is very impressive

Look forward to any updates or videos etc

Very nice choice of parts and good combination...
Are you using 4piston K600 cams

Lovely EG mate and the build up of the engine is seriously impressive

Keep us updated!

Running some drag cartel stage 4's at the moment. Got my eye one a new little setup for the future of this car. Which should easily obtain 330whp.

Got this little bad boy to swap over on the new motor.

Currently running a .030 headgasket. But need more VTC to make use of the cams midrange grunt. So got myself a 0.045 gasket which I should be able to obtain the 35 degree VTC needed to maximise my mid range. Should see a 10-15ftlb torque increase from 4k to about 8k.

Along with this I'm going to modify my current intake setup and get another 90 degree bend in to face the big ass Vstack to the front of the car. Nice gains from this should be seen across the entire rev range - Will make the head shine even more :)

Need to give her some new shoes though. Going from 3.7kg CE28's to these 16" slips is a mahousive weight gain.

Thanks for all the sound comments :)

Got some funky videos. Dunno what you guys are on this forum are like for speedo / racing vids though haha.

Impressive build! That k24 looked like it had seen better days when you first got it.
What's happened to that head (6th pic down in first post) I can't see the picture that clearly but it looks a right mess,

Are you running a stock crank and rods still or did they need work/balancing further to turn 9k rpm regularly?

People that hasnt experience built K swap motors with a little bit of weight reduction, they dont have any idea how seriously fast they are..

This.!!!

Anything that has 2WD, rear or front, with big ass power - 600-800 gets stomped to 100-120 - Which in my eyes, is perfect for dual carriageways and town driving.
Had a play with a full weight 580HP evo3 (GT35R @ 1.6Bar) - wheel on wheel to 145 lol.

Running stock crank, it hasn't been touched. No need to balance a Honda crank imo, as they come perfectly balanced from factory. And have no issues with crazy high rpms 10k+
I'm using Carrillo Pro-A rods, revved this thing to 9500 on dyno, while keeping the rev limit down to 9000 for street day to day use for reliability's sake.
Running stock k20a2 oil pump too (cavitation stuff is a myth lol - They're good for spikes of upto 10k, and a constant 9k.

The engine when I got it seemed as if it suffered from a severe lack of servicing / left standing for AGES & over heating.

Going DC with the Mrs next week to meet up with some friends and see them rip the track apart in the FWD all motor street class.
This is an event everyone must go to. It's awesome.

I will be there too
Not racing but just watching
Im leaving the 5th from texas then pick up my brother in columbus Ohio then we head out to maryland...
Best drag racing event EVER Period
