rite lads in a bit of a tizzy!! my high comp b18 with piston cams etc mapped by vtec 6000 off here makes 227bhp and 167 ft / ibs torque its a lovely engine and that . . . .

Now i have been offered good money for engine gearbox the lot!!!! and i dono if i should go build a beast of a k20 for it ie high comp with cams etc or what ta do !! >>>>>

any imput welcome!!!

is it worth doing or should i leave goodenough alone????

do you enjoy the b series? or do you feel its a bit torqueless?? If so K series that mother ****er!!
 
K series FTW:D It's a quick car as is but if you do what your planning to do with the K series it will be in a totally different league

id go K, but if you enjoy the crossover noise in a B :/

A fabled rumour. Been out in more than one Kswapped car and heard several exhaust/intake combination. Doesnt sound any less wild.
 
depends what you use the car for really and budget

i would say short ratio gearbox if you want to track it and looking for some immense fun firing through the gears, but K series if you are wanting more of a jump in power :nerv:
 
forget the K, sell just the B head and bottem end, buy yourself a H22/H23a/F20b and the QSD H2B kit and walk on K's all day errrday
 
K-series all the way if you want to be faster! More potential in it, 6speed gearbox.

budget doesnt really matter!!! i bit more overtime will sort that!!:nice: i already have a 4.7 final drive in the s4c and a 1.5 way diff!!!

ehhh this is my daily drive ha ha i do bring it ta drag racing etc was going ta do track days in mondelo with it as well!! the car is mint tho!!

im woundering will the k20 ruin it originality like air con etc is still in the car and it was never hit or anything!!!!!:drive:

wouldnt be a fan off those engines mate!!! plus not too many ks have been built ta the spec im thinking off!!:naughty:
 
First movie is weird...they are both as fast and all at a sudden it's like the K20 is standing still, he probably let his gas pedal go. The second is nice, but the H22 guy counted so he had pretty much 0 reaction time where as the K20 driver had to react to his words. Better post up some dyno's with similar mods/stock to have a reliable comparison. Besides that, the H22 engine is more in the front so nose-heavier (i believe it even sits a bit in front of the axles) which negatively affects handling and it misses a gear compared to the K20.
