Keep your eyes open in F/S section

Are you guys talking full risk insurance? I pay 25 euro's a month / 300 euro's a year for third party insurance (the damage I can cause to others is the only thing covered).

Ye JT all fully comp mate

I got a quote for an ek9 and my corsa fully comp 3year no claims 3 points £1550 for the year that the best I could get that's after haggling got £150 knocked off with elephant!!

Ian, I totally agree on where you are coming from buddy, but while principals are great, reality rules the roost and at a time when premiums are up 40% for everyone, a meagre £100 increase on such a highly modified vehicle is nothing compared to time and money you've invested in the car.

Don't be a ballbag! :D

Don't let your principals regarding Insurance companies get in the way of you enjoying your car.

The Insurance company won't really care if you leave and you will only be punishing yourself.

Mega car...Don't Break it :D

Here here!:p

So your thinking of selling up due to a £100 increase. Need i remind you the time and money that has gone into that car? Selling it now would be a massive mistake. I doubt in the current market you would make back the money you spent on the engine etc.

Also someone correct me if i am wrong but is there not a new law out in england that if you own a car, regardless of whether or not it is driven, must be insured or it can be crushed?

So we have decided that you cant possibly sell the car whole, so you will break it? Well i refuse to let you use my parents driveway again if that is the case!! :D

here here stop having a hissy fit you'd never make the money to justify getting rid, you've used it once on track and you're considering geting rid:angry2: sell one of the 3 sets of wheels you have and it'll cover that bit extra for insurance goon boy! x

What he said! ^^^^^^

Right

I think your all missing the point here.

26 years old, full no claims, no accidents no points second vehicle. And they want to insult a "law abiding" citizen by increasing my costs?

Fuels up
Tax is up
Cost of parts is up
Consumables by this I mean tyres is up
Now my insurance?

This country is f@cked and I refuse to pay more when I have done **** all wrong and got another yr's no claims.

It's already on restricted mileage I can do no more!

It's not the cost but the fecking principles behind it! This country and all it's rules/systems are a joke to the honest law abiding citizen.

One pist of and fed up

Mr Whiteman

Well said, agree 1000%!!!!!!

Got it down to £650 so far!!! I'll keep trying

Well done! :nice:

I Can't help but feel from your response above that after all of this country going to **** stuff etc, which i fully agree with. I think the last thing you should be doing is letting our failed economy bully you into selling your pride and joy, and in all fairness an absolute beast of an EK9

£650 is bugger all. Just keep the damn thing, as said it would be a crime to break it.

Its been such an inspiration to mine and many others out there. Don't kill it off!

:drive:

£650 seems reasonable on for age & mod list mate, get some overtime in :naughty:
