Is this allowed? I have bought something off here which was not complete and have now found out that it was advertised on behalf of what seems to be another member. So I now have seat rails with no belt buckles! Why cant people just sell there own stuff and explain whats included.

My brother bought things advertised by a reputable member who was advertising it for a friend and the items turned out to be tosh, but that was a year ago. I too think that you shouldn't be able to advertise for someone else.

I have searched through the old for sale threads and found the thread and it does state that they are selling for another member, but i was told about the rails by a friend and bought them through pm. Wasnt told they werent his and that they never had the belt buckles. Im a bit angry to be honest. Why would they think that i wouldnt need the buckles???

Not taking sides but whenever I have bought or sold rails I've never included the buckles as you can use your old ones.
Has the seller responded to pm? I'd ask for a partial refund if the buckles were pictured but not included with the sale

I always taught you would sell rails with buckles.. I sold mine with buckles and bought my ones with buckles

As i said I bought through pm so never had any pics. Pm has been replied to saying the member needs the buckles for his seats. But where does that leave me. My old seats are ep3 seats and have wires going to the buckles. I would rather leave them like that to sell on.

On the very RARE occasion it is allowed depending on users reputation and reason why. 99.9% it is not allowed.

I have listed cars on here on behalf of other people, stated in the advert and no-one had a problem. Then again, I guess if you were to buy the cars in question you would be going to meet the owner and view the car anyway so it's not really an issue.
