I picked this up last saturday in manchester so a few miles from me but im happy with it, good fuel economy and enough poke when i want it. only thing i really think lets it down is the seats. take a corner and you end up on you passengers knee lol need to get a set of ek9 recaros at some point but apart from that the car has full hsh, 51k miles now 52k lol, totally standard and all the usual vti refinements. im going to change the timing belt and tensioners, alternator, p/s and air con belts, brake fluid to dot 5.1, give it a full service minus air filter, remove the brake pads and clean up slides etc and grease them up to prevent sticking, waxoyl or underseal the car when the struts are removed for the lowering springs to be fitted. possibly more but cant remember so enjoy, as you can see iv fitted an aem v2 to it since saturday lol -

clean car and low miles. Get a set of authenthic CTR headlights and grille, this car will be charming.

thanks for the comments dudes. thanks to accessory zone giving me a link to the site iv ordered an ek9 replica grille with the removable mesh, also ordered an ek9 gear gaitor with red stitching, type r gear knob and buddy club short shifter with the energy bushes from ash ek4 and i have a set of 45mm spax lowering springs on the way, they should be here tuesday so time to lube up the rear shock bolts as youll all know how prone to breaking they are. cant wait to get it dropped a bit.

the filter will get wet but iv got a filter bag sort of thing from funkypower to cover it also contemplating getting a sheet of plastic and plastic welding it over it as the original arch did not allow the filter to sit in without having to cut it.

and yeah ctr headlights is another addition to the list along with red honda badges. not sure if the original rear from the hatch will fit or if ill haver to buy 2 front ones?? Custom exhaust on the agenda aswell

replica grille is a bad move, you will regret it for the poor fitment and shape. :nono:

its not a cheap ebay alternative. accesory zone has one fitted to the car on his avatar and it looks fine. a mate of mine had one fited to his ek4 and was also fine.

Got my grille from accessory zone which i had to modify slightly to allow a good fit but cannot complain, also received the (right) springs for my car so its now lowered 45mm all round on spax springs which to my amazement the rear arm bolts came out with no hasstle at all. :) but everything has been greased and oiled so i can ease removing them again if need be.

also bought a budy club short shifter from ash ek4, type r gear gaitor and type r gear knob which again all apart from the knob are fitted and what a difference a short throw gives it. Just ordered an earthing kit with blue leads from funkypower. just a cheap one but it will enhance the bay a little.

Car is also booked into stainless creations on friday the 5th of june for a custom cat bakc exhaust. i have went for a rolled tailpipe tip as i think it goes well with the bumper and it site really nice.

im going to start collecting parts for a full service, timing belt and tensioner kit, filters, oil, samco hoses, coolant, brake fluid 5.1, and rocker gasket as ill be sending the cover away to be powder coated while the belt is being changed.

what you guys think about removing the air conditioning? it came in vey handy yesterday as i done an 800 odd mile round trip to london to pick up an ep3 facelift type r? i like it but i removed it in my starlets and thought nothing of it but yesterday i found it handy on the boring old M6/M1??
